Ok, so I think I finally realize what she's trying to convey with this music video. Hyuna is conveying herself as a young teenage girl (based on the bedroom and wardrobe choices) going through the process of thoughts that most have on the daily. Like insecurities with their bodies their chest size, dieting, learning how to kiss, etc. But in the end she realized that just being herself was beautiful and that's the message she's trying to get across

Society shames women who want to express their sexuality, ESPECIALLY those who want to do it for themselves and not for a guy. A lot of people are missing the point of the song. There is an actual point/message Hyuna is making!!! The song is about embracing what you want to do (what you are 'pulled' towards). As shown in the MV many people only express such feelings and desires inside, out of the sight of others. And at the end Hyuna's jeans rip to symbolize that her inter desires are surfacing and being visible from the outside. Hyuna is letting us know that showing and doing what we want in life is important, and that we shouldn't try to hide our desires (specifically at 0:57 she says "Time is fast, it won't wait for us"---she is motivating us to do what we want in life).

It’s not about them dating that cube kicked them actually. The company didn’t want them to be open about this relationship from the beginning. I posted this in reply to someone's comment but I felt like I should post again to clarify to ppl. THERE *IS* A POINT TO THIS MV YALL. hyuna isn't just gyrating and humping the screen with no purpose. it shows her with braces, a backpack on, exploring her body and hormones, watching a couple on tv and practicing kissing. it's clearly a confident, quirky, "coming of age" mv. there is a bit of difference in interpretation between each person, but the idea is the same. personally, I see hyuna in this as two ppl. 1) an "awkward geeky school girl" going through puberty and liking a boy, she wears braces and glasses and is curious about her growth and her emotions. she checks her boobs, tries on different outfits, has in the bathroom pics of ideal bodies and the words low fat on the cabinet but is eating fries. (lol honestly how I feel about life rn XD). seems like she's worried about weight and image like most teens. then she's on a bed holding a teddy bear, and so on. I mean there's so many scenes that point to her as either a young adult or teen who is going through the motions. 2) and then her "alter ego" of sorts who wears vibrant colors and strong makeup and is powerful and sexy. instead of a frenchfry she has a cigarette, instead of being confused at how to kiss a boy she is dominating one, she knows and is sure of herself. and again, this is a little different for everyone who interprets it, but at the ending scene its almost like this was all a daydream and she was caught up in her own thoughts - with alter ego hyuna - and ended up ripping her pants.she wakes up then she just walks out, probably to school or whatever. either way its honestly such a cute and artistic mv. i wish more ppl would see that. I think it shows a mature side of hyuna but can also be relatable to teens or ppl who struggle with feelings and identity. young ppl who are trying to figure out what to wear, how to feel, what is going on with their body, etc. it's lovable, fun, a bit quirky, and gives me total retro vibes. if you look past the sexy moves you honestly see more substance in the mv. the sets they filmed at are just so aesthetic and the colors in this are amazing. I heard this director was the same as DNA by bts and I'm not at all disappointed. like wow. amazing mv. and not to evem mention how good the song is. it's sexy but bubbly and fun and for sure twerk anthem of the century. real shame how everyone can't get past what's on the surface and appreciate this mv and song more.

Why so many people can't understand this concept? I think what angers people the most about Hyuna is that she is choosing to do this. When groups are assigned sexy concepts most times they didn’t have a say in it. To me this video is about a girl trying to figure out who she is, she has been suppressing this sexy side inside her because of what society thinks , in the MV we have the cute bubbly innocent hyuna in the back playing and then she says it feels like she is not being herself in the lyrics and she suddenly wants to change they way she dresses, then the other hyuna appears , she is sexy and wild and she is discovering about kiss, makeup, guys etc ... Then almost in the end of the video we find out it was all a fantasy, the red lingerie is dropped in her bedroom to the innocent cute hyuna so she was daydreaming about who she wants to be in the entire video, she didn't actually become the wild sexy girl but she wants to be, she didn't put on the red lingerie but in the last seconds she is dressing a bit differently, she is becoming more herself but she is still using the white lingerie ( if you use colour symbolism it means pure , she is trying to act pure and cute like how society wants but that's not her ), so when she goes out with that lingerie showing she is pure, she is still suppressing her sexy side and all the desires and who she wants to be bc of society
