Whenever I watch ryo, my favorite smash player, play ike it makes want to get better with ike. He's so clean with him, and his reads with ike are spot on most of the time. I saw the tier list with ike being at the bottom. Ryo makes ike seem much faster and higher in the tier list than he actually is, with the exception of back air and forward air around 7 frames.

Strange how Ryo never tries to gimp M2King with an eruption on the vertical recovery. It seems to me that Cloud is extremely vulnerable to that, because of the Up-B hitbox coinciding with the hurtbox. Ike can actually gimp Cloud's vertical recovery with a properly spaced side smash if spikey head goes above the ledge.

Idk every time I play ike against fast characters like cloud I can’t shield against them and when I do they grab me. But I do see that the Wii U version is very smooth not like the 3ds version.

ike's counter is a bit slower than Marths or Little Mac's and Cloud's attacks are fast enough that one whiffed counter could lead to a nasty punish

Although Ike (sword-character) is know to be very underrated, M2k basically made this mans career, and formally ended his in Sm4sh once n for all. I said before, when he failed to beat this guy with Mewtwo, that was the worst. But this,, this proved me wrong. With a Cloud xDDD

m2k is pretty stubborn and stupid to not try to aim for down air into FT. It's not nerfed enough to not be used anymore. Might have saved him if he went for it more in this game.

+Xaasrevile It's not a guaranteed most of the time, depending on hitstun, damage percentage, and di positioning. FT's knockback IS nerfed to the point where it's not that great anymore...

When I play Cloud I go for down-air into FT pretty often and it works really well if your target is around 50 - 70%. You don't even need rage for really light targets.

Xaasrevile Good luck getting that soft dair, though. In order to get the dair>FT combo, you have to FULLhop dair and then hit the opponent as you´re about to land. I doubt it´ll work consistently against competent opponents.
