I think I've had like 5 or 6 of them so I'd hope I've gotten a feel for it by now LOL.

From the previous reviews I didn't really consider it but when you said this is good on carrydown, it got me positively. I have a good amount of rev-rate and I have no problem at all moving in, throwing it right and lofting the gutters. My problem is getting my Prime and my Idol Pro to move corretly on the carrydown that sets in when the patterns I bowl on break down (especially considering I throw 14, my carry gets terrible when the ball is not going through the pins the correct way). Where I bowl, the heads go away really fast and the oil carries down the lane even faster so I need a ball that allows me to hit it and make it read through it. Should I really consider the MVP Pearl?

Igor Lopes Well I’m not sure it’s great on carrydown, BUT it’s decisively better than the Hyroad. If your Idol Pro and Prime aren’t cutting it, this isn’t likely to be any better, it was more just in a comparison to the Hyroad. Nothing will be truly good in carrydown or ignore it, BUT if you take the shine off, it’ll allow you to close your angles down and get more roll that you’d be able to do with the Prime or Idol Pro, which would force you deeper to get down the lane.
@igoramaral955 жыл бұрын
@@LukeRosdahl Thanks for the response. Yeah this should settle it. The Prime and the Pro indeed force me a bit too deep and if this allows me to stay a little more squared up without having to take too much hand out of it, this should be the ball. I'll come with the results next year. Thanks a lot Luke! If it works, it'll be the third ball I buy because of your awesome reviews and I couldn't be more satisfied with the previous 2

@@igoramaral95 Oh cool. You shouldn't have to take too much hand out of it, like I said the cover is really clean and while it rolls heavy, it doesn't really rev super quick, so if you catch a handful and are firm with it from straighter, it'll get down there. Should allow you to play with your down lane shape a bit more, so you might actually try leaving the shine on it to begin with. Instead of trying to cut through the carry down, it might allow you to stay far enough right to close your angles down enough to where you won't have to try and dig through it.

That roll reminds me of the SonIQ.
@LukeRosdahl5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's got that very heavy chuggy quickly slowing roll to it. Son!Q is even more pronounced and revs up too but yeah definitely

How does the MVP's pearl compare to the winner pearl? I know that the winner pearl flares more but do they have a similar shape going down the lane?
@LukeRosdahl5 жыл бұрын
Winner Pearl is a lot longer, not necessarily stronger, but I always felt like I had to help the Winner hook, the MVP Pearl I feel like I have to help it get down the lane. Not similar shapes at all, Winner is long and rolly, MVP Pearl is earlier rolling, but sharper on friction.

MVP PEARL best $110 ball made in my opinion. I think if you are just a league bowler and bowl at light to medium houses my bag would be a MVP pearl, hustle ink, plastic. I believe roto makes the best hp1/hp2 range of balls on the market.
@LukeRosdahl4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, a Hustle Ink and an MVP will set the vast majority of league bowlers up for a long time for the same price as one higher end ball.

Mvp pearl vs wreck em?
@LukeRosdahl5 жыл бұрын
William Mai Wreck Em is long gone, and the footage I have from that video isn’t usable, so unfortunately won’t be able to do that one
@williammai13745 жыл бұрын
from your experience, how do they differ?
@LukeRosdahl5 жыл бұрын
@@williammai1374 Ah, MVP Pearl is quite a bit earlier and heavier rolling. Same general idea, the Wreck Em was easier down the lane and more angular down lane, the MVP Pearl has a similar motion but it just brings it a lot closer to the foul line.
@mikelevy26465 жыл бұрын
Luke do you still throw your hustle ink?
@LukeRosdahl5 жыл бұрын
I have both of them still in boxes somewhere, I just don't run into enough friction to use them much unfortunately. I think I'm going to order a new one though because the ones I had were pretty beat up, used to use them a TON
