Kirk, I got my machine the other day and this machine is heavy duty. I figured out how to keep the lid open while running a cycle ( pretty simple ). The machine is super quiet does a great job. The only thing that I noticed is the water filling goes on with hot, then cold and back and forth. My old machine combined hot/cold. The issue is the valves in the machine for hot/cold are constantly going off and on to mix the water. I had to make some fixes to my pipes because they were banging. Otherwise, very happy with the machine. We have a big appliance conglomerate here in CT and I got a great deal, but it took 2 weeks to get it, since it is not a stock item.

Thanks for the update. They really should start stocking the unit. Make sure you call them and let them know how much you like the machine so they can feel confident about selling them. The management system is trying to maintain a temperature for optimal performance. If your tap is too cold, it will add or mix hot water.

The spray rinses are surprising! I do like when they happen but, they should start as soon as the motor shuts off. Then stop before the tub slows down enough for the fabric softener dispenser dispenses and the fabric softener drains out. Hello Maytag/Whirlpool! I'm throwing you a bone here!! Lol!

They need to make a direct drive version for the home. People will buy a traditional washing machine with at least a 4.0 cubic feet drum. That is, over an HE toploader!

I own this machine. If you run a normal cycle with no pre wash or extra rinse option, the water level will only fill up halfway as described in the manual and on the lid labeling. If you add the extra rinse option to the normal cycle, the tub will fill all the way up with water. Why this is i do not know. So if you have a small load of laundry, run the normal cycle with no prewash or extra rinse option and youll use half the amount of water

Cool thanks for the input, I think it will do a full rinse on normal cycle if you select the extra rinse. I filmed it but I cannot remember.

Very nice Kirk! Small load I think would be better to try with maybe 4 or 5 shirts and that's it. I have a feeling this thing just fills all the way regardless LOL

I'm posting the shirt only cycle tonight, you might be pleasantly surprised. Probably a little bit more water than your liking but still much less than this cycle.

Normal cycle does a spray rinse, it will not rinse well, let me read the manual and see what it says.
