Oh okay!!!! I'm understanding this now. So if you set the machine to Extra Rinse, there won't be a spray rinse right? I'm not to crazy with spray rinses anyway. It's not the direct drive washers spray rinse, it's different now.

This is a normal cycle with extra rinse on, wow, it does two fill rinses. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWOVo5SafMl7jKc This is normal cycle with extra rinse off, it does only a spray rinse. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4O1gXpuZtlmY9U

Yeah!!! And notice how when the extra rinse is on, it doesn't have a spray rinse. This washer is very interesting lol

Thanks for this video. I just bought this washer and I am trying to figure out why on the normal cycle the "hot" water setting does not result in anywhere near hot or even very warm water.... more like tepid. (It switches back and forth between the hot and cold water.) On the deep water cycles, the water is pretty hot though. Is that what you have noticed? Also, do you know of a way to do a small load WITH hot water? I have several loads I do each week that aren't even half loads but they need hot water. Thanks!
@kirkrivas81726 жыл бұрын
The normal cycle should say Normal Eco, which should explain the hot/warm water issue. I would use mixed load cycle as your new normal, which should give you better control of the water temperature. This style of agitator needs plenty of water to soften the blow for smaller loads and delicate loads. I do not know a fix for the small load with hot water problem.

Kirk Rivas thanks for that info. It makes more sense if it’s actually ECO mode ... I haven’t tried the mixed setting yet but I will give it a shot.

Any idea why i'd be getting different water fill pressures depending on using tap cold, cold, cool, warm and hot? tap cold and cold are real slow filling, cool warm and hot fill at full pressure - washer is only 2 weeks old
@kirkrivas81726 жыл бұрын
Tap cold is only using one solenoid (valve). Depending on temperature of your cold water, cool could be one solenoid if the cold water is warm enough. I do not have the spec sheet on me to find out what water temperature the machine is looking for. Old school washers would just open both valves (cold and hot) to produce warm water thus giving max pressure. Some machines today will mix hot water even if the cold water is selected. Certain detergents will not activate well in low temperatures. I think 65 degrees was the cutoff temperature. Different manufactures will use some sort of method to determine optimal temperature for wash water. A few years ago, customers would complain because they would hear the solenoids click on and off repeatedly to maintain temperature which drove them crazy. I think they changed that method. I think your machine is okay, but I will look at a tech sheet for that washer.

Thanks - the difference is significant - I recently had a well pump changed and they chlorinated the hole causing tiny metal debris to be in my water for a few weeks - i'm guessing the screen is likely clogged

Is it me or does the tub look very shallow? (Could be the camera zoom tricking)
@andrewsworld8616 жыл бұрын
Sharkie626 are you liking this washer because I was wondering why were you here since I know you're not a big fan of these he Aki efficiency washers that use little water

Not much. I just heard about them and wanted to see what it had to show.

Newbie question - how do you run the washer through an entire cycle with the lid open? I just ordered this, but other washers I have will pause once the fill completes if the lid is open
@kirkrivas81726 жыл бұрын
My apologies, as an authorized dealer and servicer, I’m not allowed to elaborate about this subject. It’s a safety issue.
@Smurdle4505 жыл бұрын
To do this, unscrew the lid latch from the lid and stick it into where the latch usually goes. Or search up "whirlpool lid strike" on Amazon and buy a strike. Stick that in the hole and watch it go!

The pump has done its job and now it is slurping. The pump is really quiet until it runs out of water. I think that's the loud noise you are referring to. Thanks for your comment.

They could dress it up a tad instead of these screw heads sticking out everywhere to be damaged over time. I could do without the suspension setup under commercial use. But other than that it's wash system is a good system!

This spray rinse is worthless and so upsetting that this is what they put on this machine. Even more upsetting is that the appliance store salesman, and three Maytag help center people (one a supervisor) know nothing about this. They just tell me it does not do a spray rinse. Fools.
@kirkrivas81723 жыл бұрын
the normal cycle a mandated cycle that has to have the spray rinse, the blue section of the panel (other cycles) do a deep rinse. the normal cycle is only cycle that does the spray rinse on this machine and most othes.
@Angelface67246 жыл бұрын
The rinse cycle doesn't seem adequate.
@kirkrivas81726 жыл бұрын
The other cycles use full rinses. Thanks Angel, I always appreciate your comments. and requests.
