Always liked the Swift/Metro 3 door. While tiny by today's standards, many people did indeed use judgement and try to save some $ with a smaller car.

1:56 that was fairly expensive for this in 1991 - I bought a brand new 92 Chevy Cavalier 5-speed coupe for 7 grand in my senior year of high school and it had A/C, power door locks, 4 speakers instead of 2, and ABS brakes... Didn't get the same gas mileage as this but still decent mileage for a 4cyl. This should have been a 5 thousand dollar car to start.

Manual shifts are long and on the rubbery side... Perhaps that's because they put a giant accordion c**dom where the shift boot is supposed to be!

You can't fool me, that's a Geo Metro!!!

Actually a Geo Metro has a 1.0 3cyl. This has a 1.3 4cyl. The metro has 12 inch wheels the Swift has 13 inch wheels so makes the cars ride and drive very different.

@@bikingD The Geo/Chevy Metro could be optioned with the 1.3L 4cyl too. Not sure if it could in 1991 but definitely in later years if not.

@@Stressless2023 Only on the 4 door sedan Metro's plus in 91 in Canada was still called Firefly and Sprint through GM it wasn't till the 92 refresh with the new dash the Geo Metro was released for Canada. Heck pretty sure the sedan version the only model with the 4 cyl in the Metro lineup wasn't even available in the US.
