I know what it feels like to have the rail roll out from under you. I was glad we worked at slow speeds. That brought back memories. Excellent video AC.

Wood blocking and guage rods a hi -lo replacer and grease. Seperate engine pull first unit on over replacer. Get it up and on. Repeat process. Pain in the rear end but it will work. Grease the insides of the rail.

Hey AC Your videos. are thorough and verry educational !; When I worked for Conrail when. I was younger. we ran a considerable amount of. EMD series power

You must have a video filing system that puts IBM to shame! Always impressed by your ability to weave a narrative through various clips of individual trains. A process I've tried (unsuccessfully) to duplicate! Your knowledge of the equipment is nothing short of encyclopedic!! That Evergreen intermodal passing 1804 had the screelie wheelies! Made my teeth itch!!

Wow two standard paint Dash-9s still in good condition almost looks fresh running in this day and age is a rare sight anymore, if it wasn’t for the PTC cabinets on the cab roof it would’ve looked like a video from around the early 2000s

I wish you just did a complete video on the Alcos and derailment !! I have no interest on modern wide-cab computers at all !! Lol I go to Scranton and Western NY once a year just for the Alcos ! Talk to the RR and find out how it happened ?

Wooden sleepers that have almost become potting soil and on top of that seemed to be nailed... derailment due to track widening is pre-programmed. Otherwise it was a great video. there are also recordings of the recovery of the remaining locomotives??? Old alcos, albeit derailed, always go. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven

The Sleepers look in very poor Condition, I presume the Track is inspected at sometime during the Week, you would have thought that the poor Track Condition would have been picked up before leading to a derailment, and the Costs of the subsequent rerailing, very lucky that nobody was injured or it led a major Incident.
