The ACR has a symmetric recoil profile and the fastest reloads of any primary weapon in MW3. You don't really have to adjust for kick when using the ACR, which makes it very easy to handle. The G36C instead has 0 horizontal recoil and only kicks up. If you can control the vertical kick and know when to switch to a secondary, use the G36C. Basically the ACR is more noob friendly while the G36C requires better in-game senses to outclass the ACR.

@BackpackBanjo Different situations. In CoD4 I used the G36C more than any other assault rifle. It was my go to tryhard must win weapon. The Skorpion was the most fun gun to use. Much trolling good times with that little monster. Also very fun from that game was the AK47+silencer, MP5, and P90.

I will never forget this gun. One day, Interchange, it was in Novermber, game still fresh... I jumped in with the G36, where there is a narrow path with the fire truck, I saw 3, bam, triple, got 4, a multi, then 3 respawned and got a triple, a double, survived a RPG, then died.

Another really important fact about the G36c is that it's center time (the time it takes to recover from recoil) is very fast, so shooting in bursts is VERY effective. you don't even have to wait after each burst just pull the trigger as if it were semi-auto and it is pretty freakin accurate.

@Drifr0r I know this is almost the most common set up for all assault rifles but a red dot and silencer looks and feels like the recoil is much more manageable. I don't know if it's just a comfort thing, but to me it makes the G36 feel like a laser.

I find that running marksman fixes the sights. I usually use a silencer and extended mags so marksman helps greatly wirh the horse blinder irons.

Silencer, Red Dot, and Recon. Definitely my favorite gun/setup. Super fast reload, and now that I know about the Raise/Drop, it just verifies even more that you don't need SoH with the G36. Also great for Anti-Air class using Blind Eye.

Pro tip. If you just tap the trigger this gun has NO recoil. Just make it semi auto and you will absolutly not have kick. I cant stress the "NO" enough.

@TheStroomis At 41 meters the damage drop ends. Which means that the weapon doesnt do "0" damage that the bullets no longer drop in damage. Thats what Drift0r means by "damage drop".

As for the swap times, if you put sleight of hand pro on with a secondary akimbo Five seveN, you have two very fast swapping and reloading weapons, making it damn near perfect for rushing with quickdraw and steady aim pro. At least in theory.

most ppl don't know this, but in the original modern warfare, the G36 had a built in feature where crouching reduced the reticle sway, even further reduction in reticle sway while prone, makes it unusually really good with the acog scope because acog scope is notorious for magnifying any other weapons default weapon sway while zooming in i don't know if it still works like this in mw3, but i like to rock the G36 in mw3 in the spirit of how great it was in the original mw

I've been staying away from kick with the G36C lately. My setup of choice is a RDS + Ext Mags. High accuracy with some added spraying power for those tense situations.

It's when you cancel your reload animation, e.g. the G36C's reload animation takes 3 seconds to finish, but it's already reloaded in half of the time, so you can cancel the animation and start shooting after 1,5 seconds already.

I'd personally say that Assassin is best reserved for Stealth, Sniper or Shotgun classes. Since LMG's like the M60E4 are made from the start for team support and defensive roles, the offensive team might just hurl a rain of explosives on you then advance quickly, so I thought that Blast Shield or Quickdraw were much more useful than Assassin.

my favorite way to use this gun is with silencer and thermal. I find the silencer helps shoot straight and the thermal helps me take out people further away, if not i can just spray

Red Dot+Silencer also seems to be very powerful on this gun if you can burst/manage the recoil a little. It's a perfect gun for specialist (Start: SoH, Assassin, Dead Silence Special: QD, Scav, Stalk)

Actually the G36C kicks up then down, it doesn't just kick straight up. It has the fastest centerspeed out of all assault rifles in MW3 so its pretty accurate.

Use the Red Dot and Silencer, It helps get you headshots when you aim for the chest the gun kicks up and hits the head. It gives you a faster ttk, and more points.

The M16 is still actually quite good. Rapid fire + silence, you can easily get 1 burst kills. Chuck on scavenger, quickdraw, stalker. Then with specialist unlock sleight of hand, steady aim, marksman.

I use the G36C when I play in long range maps such as Fallen and all that. It is a good gun don't me wrong, but sometimes, it just feel like it has so much recoil even when you have kick. Its like you have to start shooting at the leg because as you shoot, your aim goes higher and higher cause of the recoil. Still, its a pretty good gun

I never use the red dot sight on the G36c because I feel that the kick is amplified, even with the Kick perk. I always use the iron sights and would recommend the silencer.

i'd give red dot and stability a try because i use it in face off to pick off pesky snipers/campers at long ranges, just remember to burst your shots to help control the recoil and keep your gun on target

@hfmadness6 Yes. You are right. The way the gun works is that the first 1-2 bullets the gun is COMPLETELY still, the guns recoil profile starts kicking in around the 3rd-4th shot. You can literally have a MK14 with this.
