One of the most used SMG's in this class. This was my first favourite SMG until I learned about the PP90M1. That gun was insane with a hip fire build (though MP7 was great at it also). I just felt it necessary to switch because the vanilla maps were more confined well enough.

It's nice to see that one of the best guns is finally something you unlock late. In most other CODs, some of the best guns were always unlocked early or given to you at the start, thinking of the Famas at lvl 14 in BO in particular.

MP7 isn't overpowered it just doesn't really have any downfalls. It is pretty easy to use but there is no aim assist on the gun at med-long ranges and if you have a sniper/assault rifle you should be able to outgun a mp7 at long to medium range. Also it is fmg9s that take no skill. The single fmg9 is actually pretty hard to use.

Lets be honest here: The MP7 was pretty overpowered. Literally no recoil and pretty good at close range too.

That is called sway. Its recoil spread without the variable of sway will be a completely vertical line. Try it with stability, its absurd recoil spread becomes more apparent. The "no recoil" effect is easy to create. Just pull the weapon down as it recoils upwards, it lasers into the target spot easily.

I feel ya. Everyone rages over people who use it unless they're well known, but it's a clear choice for pros and average players alike. The MP7 (no silencer) is one of the few "overused" guns I actually touch.The Type 95, FMG9 akimbo and Striker are guns that I only use in Infected. However, I run the L86 like it's an assault rifle instead of an LMG. If you adjust to the recoil and use a RDS it's actually pretty good.

Spend some time on the maps themselves. Show us where the spawns are. Show us where a good sniper spot is, or a easily defended area. Give us the dirt on active and potential hot spots. Tell us team strategies, or ways to uproot another team. Also, give us your honest opinions on the map designs as you come to them. This can also translate to general strategies for game modes, and game mode reviews.

There is. Just take it into a private match, walk a few meters away from a wall and shoot without touching the stick. It'll go (almost) straight upwards. It has more recoil than an AK-47 in a way (the AK bounces all over the place but it kicks upwards a lot less making a circular pattern rather than a straight line upwards)

That thing is OP for a completely different reason. It does so much damage for being a high speed sprayer. 42 damage up close, far 17. It isn't very good at range but up close, instant kill against nearly everything.

First of all, Rapid Fire has a very minor effect on the MP7. Second, it has terrible damage at range, meaning it'll be beat by a lot of assault rifles and LMGs. Lastly, it also has very little range, meaning that with a silencer you'll almost always need 5 hits to kill. Not to mention that with all the bashing directed to the recoil I still find it hard to hit anyone at long range at full auto.

I agree with everyone that said using a certain gun doesn't make you a good player. I decided one game to try the MP5 on dome, which at that point I hadn't used at all my first 8 prestiges, and went 39-7. That's not great but it was way better than I expected for having no proficiencies or attachments. I'm pretty average and really like the mp7 but it does get beat out by other weapons. I would almost prefere the L86 post-patch.

Most of the Profs are self explaintory, but if you want I'll tell you straight up kick and focus are more useful of the profs. Kick has the best effect on the SCAR-L, ACR, and G36C, and number of the others. If you want shotguns, use damage on the pump (range for the KSG-12, its power complients it), and range for self loading(USAS, etc.).

I believe that Rapid Fire increases the fire rate by ~10% of the MP7 on consoles, according to repeated testing done on Den's forums. Also, consoles and PC have very different fire rates. For example, on console, PP90+RF fires at a higher rate than a PM9+RF. However, this is not true for PC.

The G36C actually has the most similar recoil pattern to the MP7, it goes up (heavily too) vertical however there is some horizontal drift. The MP7 is the anomaly because it has NO horizontal drift what so ever. It is a small vertical line. Having easy to manage recoil is one thing. Having bizarre and clearly overpowered recoil spread is another thing entirely. The MP7 is comparable to the PM-9 in all stats except the fire rate. Yet, very few people use the PM-9, why? Recoil...

Been using the MP7 a bit lately, I did have silencer/extended mags but killed a little too slowly at times (getting killed myself because of it). So I tried silencer/rapid fire and that 11% made a huge difference for me.

Hey, at last it's not the UMP-45. CM901 only has side to side wobble, PM-9's recoil is made up by it's damage. The FAD is practically uncomfortable to use. The MP7's low damage is balanced with a high fire rate, P90M1 is a spraying machine, having an extremely high fire rate and massive recoil. Balance is what makes every weapon in call of duty different.

Right in your boat, though oddly I feel that the vector "sucks" but apparently I have a 2.4 k/d with it and MSMC is @ 1.90. It shoots really fast and I feel like I miss a lot, but apparently I have a 22% accuracy with it :o, 19% on the MSMC

i would say if u are going to use the mp7, run it with range or attachments. this gun has barely any kick, so if you equip silencer and rapid fire, it kills unimaginably fast. THats my favorite setup.

Hey, recoil is a critical part of deciding your kills. Recoil can either get in your way, or benefit. The MP7 has great iron sights, it's damage isn't the best, but it's a great SMG. High damage weapons have high recoil, which is the complete opposite of low recoil weapons. This is balance, deal with it.

Here's my question, I'm just looking for opinions and suggestions here. I have 2 classes going on right now, On one I have the AK 47 as my primary gun, running that with Kick and the grenade launcher, using Sleight of Hand Pro, Quick Draw Pro and Marksman Pro. In the other one I'm using the PKP as my primary gun, using grip and Focus on it, using Blind Eye, Quick Draw Pro and Marksman Pro. I like to rush, not camp. Just wanted to know what ya'll think and am open for suggestions as well

Essentially, the MP7 is just like all the other smgs, the damage may be 35-20, but it still sustains a 3-5 shot kill. If you incorporate the rapid fire reduction in relativity to the p90 with rapid fire, they come out basically the same. However, as Drift0r mentioned, the recoil is practically non existent. So it has the same characteristics pretty much as the other smgs, middle of the pack in RPM, has a 40 round clip, and has no recoil. It isn't op as all, is it? *Sarcasm*

I tried using this gun, didnt work out. The exact accuracy actually makes it HARDER to aim for me, because you have to be exactly on target. The ACR has just a little kick, and it helps me aim better.

And that is what makes it, excel at all, suffer from none. It is honestly the only gun that has the single drawback of being not being a damage hose in Close Combat. (Ironically, where SUBs are supposed to excel). I get lasered by this thing across the map, with me getting the first hit with an M4 or M14 so consistently it is a no-brainer (where its high RPM w/accuracy beats most assault rifles). Its accuracy is so overwhelming, it can trump weapons excelling a long range combat? OP much?
