It's because the blown up truck/vehicles can mess with the physics engine when they collide with too many other objects, which can make things lag even in a single-player game because phyiscs have difficulty of catching up with the players actions while being bogged down by some glitchy vehicle.

Has Activision ever heard of fucking compression? 152 GB is absurd. They ONLY thing they've done in like a decade to combat huge install file sizes is allowing you to split the campaign, MP, Warzone up as separate downloads. That's not enough though. Cod WWII was an awesome campaign. IMO, it was a great modernization of the early 2000s WWII shooters I grew up with. Obviously a bit cinematic and campy, but that's cod in it's finest form imo.

The music is on par with MOH, and sure it's not the og wwii cods, with its multiple angles, but the story is cinematic and feels like what they wanted to do with ghosts. A cod campaign that was just a big war thriller.

The first and only weapon I used was the new bolt action sniper (not the marksman rifles from the beta that are semi autos w a brief “delay”) and entire attachment categories bugged and wouldn’t unlock. The worst part of all this is that they were supposed to take a break from the annual release cycle. MW2 was supposed to be around for two years, but Activision got greedy (apparently because MW2 didn't sell as well as they had hoped) and instead of keeping the game updated with content for free, they decided to charge people 70 dollars and call it a brand new game. A truly disgusting approach which I hope will result in even bigger losses for them.

I can't believe that out of all of the cod games for the past 7-8 years, this is the one that everyone is suddenly wanting to boycott. I stopped playing cod after bo2 released because I knew it was getting worse. I've observed every cod release since, and finally, after many years they bring back all of the maps people have been asking for from mw2. People have been asking for this for a longggg time. And now this is the game everyone decides to boycott and is the "last straw"? The cod community is definitely out of their minds. Ya'll should've done this when cod ghosts released at the very least. The whole situation really sucks. I won't pay $70 for a video game out of principle. It doesn't matter how much content the game is filled with, games just simply aren't worth that much. Every AAA game has been getting worse and worse over the past decade. But yeah it's just so mindblowing to me that this is the game that everyone decides to boycott after all these years, when I know for a fact most people wanted to play highrise, skidrow, favela, etc in a refreshed version of mw2.

I’ve played the og mw, bo1, mw3, bo3, mw19 and now current mw3. I think the best way to go about it is wait a few months, do a bunch of research, decide if the current game is right for you, then play it for a few years. I understand for pc players it might be a little tricky with the cheating though. I wish the cod community would flood 1-4 year old games that were the eras high point instead of flocking to the new one every year. The devs stop maintaining old games because it’s easy with everyone on the current.

During development of that game, Activision fired the entire Infinity Ward studio because they didnt want to pay them their royalties for MW2 which made massive amounts of money. That is the day cod died. Its all downhill from there. I played MW3 for a few years until it died and then switched to CSGO. Havent looked back in 8000 hours.

Literally this was the result of executive interference. The devs had a vision for the next COD and the execs shat all over them. Then the execs had the devs do basically an executive's "Homercar" microtransaction-farming wishlist idea of what COD should be, rushed on a terrible deadline instead. Several of the devs said they felt betrayed by the execs, especially after being promised a reduction of crunch & overwork. (The dev cycle on this trash was brutal!)
