I agree and disagree, in my opinion mxgp as a whole has never had big jumps or enough air time. It drives me crazy. To clarify, when I say “big jumps” I mean normal size and bigger jumps not just these faceless bumps they call jumps. Ground Physics wise I fully agree with you. Haha

Don't understand why so much people think MXGP 3 was so good personally I think it is total crap and one of the worst in the series... so much arcadey and sterile gameplay, feels like a game made for kids. Personnally, mxgp 2019 and supercross 3 were the best.

No, they had a little stand at some show to let people try out mxgp24. It was some random dude playing and the person recording plays motocross games and shared it with the community. That was like their “game reveal” it’s sad, that’s the video that everyone was introduced to this game for the first time. Not a smart marketing move.

This is clearly an asset flip... of like MXGP3 rather than the latest one for some reason. They might try to use trickery to improve the visuals before releasing the game but it's clear the textures and such are rather horrible. You can't judge the physics at all because the absolute dimwit that played this was trying to hit hairpins at FIFTY MILES PER HOUR. If anything, we know for sure this ain't gonna be some mid-2000s MX vs ATV game. I like it when dirtbike games remind us that coasting and braking are very much necessary when going fast around a motocross track.

Got MXGP 24 yesterday, and wow... within 5 minutes, I knew this wasn’t a game-it’s a comedy special. The physics are so bad, I half expected the bike to sprout wings and fly off into the sunset. Braking into turns? Forget it. Your bike just goes, 'Nah, I’m turning this way instead.' Handling is so slippery, it’s like I’m racing on a track made of butter. Whips? Hilarious. It’s like they let a toddler program the air controls-steering mid-air like it’s a fighter jet. Graphics? Janky as heck. On Xbox, you’re stuck with '4K 30fps slideshow' or '2K 60fps Vaseline Vision™' thanks to the motion blur. Honestly, I’d rather Milestone took this back and just copy-pasted their old games. At least then, we’d have something decent instead of this steaming pile of turbo trash. KT Racing, next time, just let the bikes stay in the garage.

What really worries me is that they didn't let you, and other content creators, to play a demo. I hope I am wrong, but it really looks like they are hoping that many people won't watch videos like this one and pre-order the game.

This game looks like a case of MVP (Minimum Viable Product) gone too far. I have nothing against the concept of MVP, where the minimum viable product for a game could be something where it starts out as offline-only and online capabilities get added later. However, the key word in MVP is “viable”, which is left up to interpretation and can go from the intended meaning of ‘the core product works perfectly and the extra bits will be added later’ to the extreme of ‘the product runs reasonably well and doesn’t glitch or crash every time you use it’. Motocross is a niche genre, but considering that console players were without an ‘official’ MX game for a lengthy period of time and this is the only MXGP option, Nacon have the market cornered and can basically run a bit of a monopoly. People will still buy it and put up with it - not in as big numbers as if it were a top-quality game, but it’s a matter of development cost versus forecast profit. Hopefully MXGP2024 will quickly patch the game at consistent intervals after launch and this MVP will end up being something a lot more polished after a few months… though I’m not holding my breath on that

MVP is a concept that many utilise poorly: releasing something with great content but poor bike sounds and generic fonts that can be updated within 3-6 months is acceptable. Releasing something that is basically still in beta isn’t acceptable

An arcade MX game featuring an officially licensed series is inexcusable in 2024. Every MX game going forward _must_ at least have a lean-to-turn system similar to Sim/Bikes, or it is an immediately failure, because if the chasis and gyro behavior isn't properly simulated, then literally everything else is going to be wrong to compensate. Arcade MX games are shallow, boring, and nobody wants them anymore; give us a game where the bike behaves like a real bike.

When there is also no development and competition for the game developers, they simply become lazier. For example, they have been releasing the same supercross game for years and years because they have no real competition with other studios. It's the same thing that happened to the MX vs ATV saga. Supercross was a failure in sales since it is a game that has more content, yes. but the gameplay is horrible compared to alive and reflex.

You obviously haven't seen how I felt about Supercross 6. I said even tho a lot was reused, I still enjoyed the game. I thought the slight adjustments to physics, paired with the new inside berms, made the game more fun. There is absolutely no bashing here. This is valid criticism for a game that will end up costing 60$. I'm almost always more positive than negative. People complain to me that I need to be more negative sometimes. This game needs more time in development.

We have seen this gameplay and actual official gameplay released by the developer, KT Racing. None of it looks good. I've had multiple people tell me about it after they were able to test it at MXoN. Forming opinions on it is what people are going to do. If you don't want to have an opinion or want to think it will be amazing, no one is stopping you.

It honestly doesn’t look any different from mxgp2021. There’s no jumps, tracks are identical to 2021. Then they’re literally coming to a complete stop to turn. When it was in 5th gear it was barely moving. And last thing that motocross game devs do that drive me nuts. The first person camera, they put it way to far forward and way too low you can’t see the dang bike. I’m not buying it, I truly don’t see anything about this game that separates its self from 2021. Zero progression and development.
