Jett did back to back motos, took the shit gate pick so Hunter could get the inside. He then came from 12th to first and took it to Tim who was up near the front the whole race and Tim still only just won. Jett would have smoked the field if he was fresh with a motos break and had his gate choice. I respect Tim but let's just take all the facts into play. Jett proved he can run down the best 450 riders in the world from back in the pack and did it with ease.

There's a lot more to break down on the Gajser vs Jett battle. 3 to go (i think it was), Jett near bins it and gives up a couple of seconds. This gives Gajser the initial sniff. A bit of back and forth for a couple of laps through traffic, both had better sections than the other. But Gajser follows Jett on the inside of the 3rd to last corner, the hooked rut over the roller throughout this back and forth. Last lap 3rd to last corner, Gajser pins it on the outside line, and Jett hears it, hence the lookback. Gajser, with nothing to lose, only a 1-1 for the taking, is on "send it" mode into the 2nd to last corner. He licked the stamp before the double. Jett is in "don't get taken out and lose Australia's 1st MXoN title" mode. Gasjer also "owed" Jett that send from last year.

I wish people could be sporting about the whole Jett vs Gajser, no matter who their favourite is. There is too much misinformation going around and daft comments about Gajsers pass. The first turn, Jett went wide and was around 12/14th. The next half a lap was hectic with people going all over the place. At the end of the first lap, Jett was in 6th (not 25th lol) sitting 6 seconds off the leader Prado and Jett was 2.5 seconds behind Gajser. Jett did amazingly well to get up to the front, but so did Gajser! Their fastest lap times were within 0.2 of a second of each others. Gajser said that once he was in the lead, he could hear Tomac falling back and then set a sensible pace at the front that he thought would be ok. When Jett pushed up to Gajser, Gajser was clearly surprised to see him there. Good job too really, because we then got treated to an all out slug fest, with both riders on the edge having moments. Gajser lost the lead, fell back, caught up and passed Jett! Something nobody in America has been able to do! The pass was aggressive, but clean! Jett congratulated Tim at the line saying 'Great Pass' and the Media have echoed this! We can't claim either to be the best or fastest Motocross (Not SMX/SX) racer in the world , based on this one race! There would be some tracks that other riders like Herlings would beat them both on...... But, Tim had the speed to beat Jett and win this time, straight up, no excuses. We got to see Jett the phenom and a 5 time World Champion, push each other to the limit in a race that will go down in history! We should all be celebrating the spectacle and looking forward to the next battle! I'm a fan of both riders!!

I suspect the majority of UK spectators and Europeans appreciate all riders taking part in the MXON, particularly the Americans and USA based riders, it being our one chance to see them in the flesh. Obviously the Lawrence brothers are very popular on this side of the pond, but it was a great race by all riders and a perfect move by Gajser to go 1-1 in his class and earn the bragging rights until next year, as being unbeaten on the day! I’m less sure about Deegan, yes he is popular and clearly the. next big think in mx/supercross, but there are those who still think he pussied out over the MXON event 2 years running now. Although no doubt he will want to be picked for the event on home soil next year. He may have had perfectly good reasons each year for not attending, new bike and screw removal surgery and he is young and has to think about his long term career. But people will remember his no shows. Different times maybe now, but when you think of all the great American riders who have ridden through brick walls in the past to represent USA at MX des Nations, it seems a little disingenuous what Deegan did, just saying 👏🏴🇬🇧

Only informative post here... Most fans are saying there is no way Jett knew that he didn't have to win the last moto, for the team to win the MXoN Trophy. So he must have been racing handle bar to handle bar with Gajser at the end of the race for the win of the final moto (pleas note, Jett and Gajser were racing in different classes). I'm positive his team would have informed him near the end of moto3, they he DIDN'T need him to win that last moto. As you've already said above. Jett was tiring at the end of moto3 ...at 80% and by the time it got to half a lap it was down to 70% (due to both Jett and Eli pre-mxon preparation of NOT racing any 30min+2lap motos. As Gajser/Prado/Herlings had just come off the week before). Given all the above. I was impressed by both Jett and Eli's performance at this years MXoN's. Jett performing perfect riding for the team (not his own ego) to win its verry first MXoN's Trophy in 40 years.

I'd call it, "the man who kept Jett from beating him", huge fan of Tim but Jett ran him down from 14th. Gajser won as anyone of that level is supposed to while being in that position.

Calm down. ......... Tim has been riding the identical bike now. For almost 18 months he was a lead developer on the 25 bike. Jet's only been riding it for maybe a month and a 1/2 in the bike that jet road at MX of nations only had suspension on it. Tim's bike was a full factory race. You guys missed the obvious... Jett waited for Tim and let Tim win. That's the kind of guy Jett is. 2nd was good enough for the team win. That little bobble a few hundred mtrs from the finish was Jett letting Tim go by. Both on Hondas, The brand wins big time either way.

Yes becouse 90% of US tracks are not technical enough for the skill of the rider to shine. It is just who can pin it the most and take the most risks. GP tracks have always been more technical and rough compared to freeway style wide US tracks where raw speed and risk taking wins the moto

Lol......just too much "American" over hype about the desperate block-pass (AMA SX style) Tim Gajser pulled off on Jett in the final moto on the final lap in the 2nd last corner. Jett's been passed numerous times......Jett is beatable......Jet gets beat. Usually when he gets a rubbish start. And Jett has to expend a lot of energy to get back to the front. Of course he is vulnerable in those races. Like just about ANY other pro motocross rider. Gajser had energy up his sleeve at the end of the race, Jett didn't. Gasjer passed for the win. Jett came in second. Herlings is beatable, Prado is beatable, Eli is beatable, Chase is beatable. They are ALL beatable on the right day. I have absolutely zero idea why (most Americans) think Jett is unbeatable, and is going to win every race he fronts up for. Thats just plain stupid thinking,
