Nice demo. No cheap talking, no long useless solos. The product in first place. Just like every demo should be. Thanks!

Great review, at last someone demonstrating the effect and not showing off their guitar ability. Well done matey.

Finally - someone put both boost and OD on at the same time! Great demo. I like the pedal because it saves a little space on the board combined. Might have to go to GC this weekend!

I've played through a Medium/High gain Amp using this pedal to kick some extra dirt when needed for over a decade, and I can Assure (after comparing it to every other pedal in the market), it's The Best Overdrive ever built.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the functional difference between boost and gain?
@vonholland646 жыл бұрын
James Pilcher a boost pushes the tubes hotter For tube breakup n gain is distortion. I have both on my board. So I’m interested in this
@chargernoises2 жыл бұрын
Gain regulates the amount of distortion, the amount of clipping. Boost merely increases volume. But, as you plug the pedal in the tube amp, increasing volume pushes the amp into overdrive, so the clipping is done by amp's tubes, not a pedal itself. So, if you increase both gain and boost, your signal will be clipped by the pedal, and then clipped again by the amp, creating an interesting effect and a vast palette of tones available to you.

The amount of distortion on a clean signal, boost is less destructive than gain

Do you put it in front of the amp or in the effects loop???

Nice demo. About the peadl, I expected a more trasparent behaviour on the boost side (which actually adds pretty much colour at high output), and a bit more gain on the OD side. At certain moments in the video, I could not say if loud boost only or slight OD only was working, without watching. I expected a marked difference between the two, am I wrong? Please, advice me.

Also, when the boost works together with the OD, it does not seem to boost very much. If I use the OD for the rythm, is the boost capable of boosting the solos? Thx

This overdrive is based in what pedal(or amp)?

Can the pedal MC 402 (BOOST / OVERDRIVE) be turned on at a 18V?
