How do you get at the internal dipswitches in the Carbon Copy Deluxe? The bottom backplate does not have regular screws.

How can you put regen to the max and dont have infinite feedback?

Your regen is so much different than mine.... any time I go past 3 o clock it starts to self oscillate. Still love it though. I also tried to run a fuzz before this, and it simply doesnt repeat like it does on clean. It barely repeats, and is barely audible... curious if you know why?

Mine does the same thing as yours and it’s a bit difficult to find a balance of mix and repeats. It probably depends on which serial number release we got. I still try to make it work and remind myself I got it for washy modulated purposes not for clear repeats.

That's exactly my experience too! Two comments on that: 1. I wonder how the pedal in this video has to go in oscillation with that taper. 2. Could it have something to do with the voltage you sent into the pedal or the internal switches?

@@patrickdudink4649 If I were to guess, he’s probably running a standard 9 volt power supply, but if anything it’s responding like it’s underpowered. When I first tried this in a music store it wouldn’t even work because what they had didn’t deliver enough milliamps. I know this from using batteries; The lower the battery power, the more you have to turn up mix/repeats to make them noticeable. Therefore if you run more power (say up to 12v), the repeats would be louder and it should oscillate much earlier like at 1 o’ clock, though I wouldn’t go up to 18v at risk of frying the circuitry.

Cool, this video was just posted today, ha! Hey can you post a video on what tap tempo means, what it is, what it does, how to use it, and of course how to set it all up to use! We are not born knowing this stuff and there is no clas to take that will cover it.. so HOW does one learn all this stuff? See what I mean? Thanks.

KZbin and the internet. Without those we’d all be clueless. Try searching. If you’re wanting like pedal effect basics That Pedal Show helped me out immensely. They have a show or two on delay and any other effect you could think of. They’re on YT. Happy watching.

Only down side I find with this pedal is that I have to set the mix at maximum most of the time.

Same. I almost sent it back when I discovered the Mix needs to be at 3:00 or so to be useful, and the Regen knob is very touchy. Too little and too few repeats, too much and self-oscillation kicks in. It's a very small sweet spot on the knob. But the more I play it the more I love the sound of it. It's really the first delay I've had that adds a lot of vibe without getting in the way. Just gotta take a minute to find the sweet spot with the knobs. It's a quirky little analog box and I dig it.
