You rode those trails great. That bike comes up great with the later plastic and decal mods you do. There is a Chinese Kayo 250 K4 and K6 available at home in Australia. They seem to have good reviews. I cant seem to be able to find the SSR bikes here. Have you heard much about the Kayo and any similarities to the SSR bikes?

Charles, I have 2022 SSR 300 and trying to do the upgrades you have done. I am trying to find the pro circuit exhaust. What year do I buy to fit. If I missed it on the video, I'm sorry! Thanks man!
@mxrevival11 ай бұрын
No worries, this was only accessible from SSR directly. Extremely expensive! I had tried to procure these from Pro Circuit directly because I am a Pro Circuit dealer as well. However, they are proprietary to the SSR brand and I was not allowed to access from SSR or Pro Circuit! Wanted to cut through some of the red tape for you guys. If you reply here, I may not see it because I only get a notification for the first comment, not replies. You can reach me on the website using the contact link any time. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

I have a 2016 rmz450 and a 2006 rm125. I’ve been wanting to trade the 125 for a good trail/woods bike. Got offered a 2021 ssr 300 with a lectron and a couple other goodies. It’s a super nice 125 just doesn’t do what I need it to do. I’m strongly considering the trade. What’s your opinion?
@mxrevival4 ай бұрын
That’s a really tough one. Your RM 125 is becoming extremely rare. Especially a 2006 model. One of the last ever made. If you don’t care about the RM, go for it. If it has any intrinsic value, or you wish to restore something that is really worth restoring, that would be the bike. You can get a brand new SR300 in some places about the same as what your bike is worth if you were to sell it out right. But, the SR300 is a very nice couchy, reliable, extremely cheap bike to maintain. Electric start is a huge plus regarding what you want to use it for. For me, there is no way I’m getting rid of the 06 125. I’m obsessed with Suzukis, so I am extremely biased in this particular case. Be prepared to check out my website for a carburetor replacement on the SSR though. They are the Achilles heel of that bike and are truly terrible and most cases still running the stock carb. 😅 I would say that’s the biggest setback aside from resale- coupled with the fact that a lot of people dislike Chinese bikes. However, I did a deep dive on the SR300 and it was a blast. Anybody in your family can ride with ease. Your RM and the SSR our completely dislike, except from the fact that they both have two wheels. Follow your heart on this one!
@kevinwalsh44 ай бұрын
@@mxrevival I ended up doing the trade. The rm was already restored for the most part. But it’s a local fella in my town. If he sells it, it will be back to me. The ssr already came with a lectron carb (purchased from you). Brand new tires. Numerous sets of pads and an hour meter. I do have an old 84 rm250 motor bored to a 300 if I ever feel like getting wild with the ssr.

My local dealer wants over 500 Benjamin's for the Pro Circuit! 😬😳 So gonna just get me a slip in sparky for if and when I need it, and gonna test your theory about the FMF sticker working, just ordered one!
@mxrevival2 жыл бұрын
Perfect! Yes they are expensive. At the time of filming, I thought they were in the $300's. I enjoyed the opportunity to test it for you guys, as it was sent to me free of charge from SSR. It is heavier then the stock unit, and only stainless & not titanium construction. On this particular engine doesn't have a *massive* performance gain. THIS IS USUALLY NOT THE CASE on Japanese bikes and I love Pro Circuit exhaust on my other machines. The stainless does make it much more durable than the stock aluminum pipe, and the removable spark arrestor is nice. It also sounds really nice on the sr300 when it's running. For the price, titanium would be nice. But as you saw in the video, there are more affordable options which in my opinion, pair much better with the bikes original showroom price point. I think that sr300 owners are in a pickle with aftermarket exhaust systems because this Pro Circuit unit is the only "real" pipe you can get for it, that is made specifically for it. And the construction is top tier with a perfect fit, second to none. So if you want it, you're going to pay for it. I think this pipe paired with the 2021 or newer sr300 with the fcr clone carburetor (jetted properly) would really be great and help justify the cost. Using our Lectron carb mod, a bigger rear sprocket in conjunction with this pipe would provide great power as well.

Hello Charles, I have a 2021 SR300 and I am getting a lot of noise from the engine. It quietens down when I pull in the clutch lever but gets loud again when I release it. Is this something I should be worried about? Thanks man!
@mxrevival3 жыл бұрын
Not usually! Pretty common om a lot of brands. Like a rattle. If it's crazy loud or absurd then take it apart (easy) but otherwise, it's a pretty common thing on a lot of bikes.

I've never riden trails like that. Are those narrow trails (10 min mark) one way? If not do you ever have issues running into other riders. Looks like fun!
@mxrevival2 жыл бұрын
You should! You'll love it. All the trails at this place are one way, so not typical to run into anybody and you can usually see pretty far ahead. Every once in awhile you'll get somebody who is inexperienced or not paying attention because they're so excited to ride, that they may go the wrong way. It can happen. But most of the time it's local's riding who kind of know the drill

Do you know what this frame is modeled after?
@mxrevival2 жыл бұрын
The bike itself is model after a 2016 CRF 450 R. However it does not use a clone Honda engine. So the down tubes of the frame and all the areas the engine with Bolt in are not quite like the Honda. Just the upper spars.

@@devo950 Ahh great point. The PC is quieter for sure! I know that's not a decibel rating answer but I'm unsure of where to find that data without buying an actual Db meter😎 The bike isn't really too loud with either pipe. If someone wants a SUPER quite version. I'd imagine a baffle could be installed (maybe Fisch makes one of those too?)

Hey Charles, you said the frames are ‘16 250r clones, would the suspension linkage bearings be same? Would the subframe be the same? I’m here in SoCal. Not excited about the new emissions laws. Looking to see how much credentials I would need to get the bike plated in Arizona. That way these CA pricks can go to hell with the red/green CARB crap. Any plans to ride with Clint in Carson City?
