The display is so bright and colorful. can you change the visual to a warm color that would reduce distraction to the driver?

You can change it to any color it has pretty much every color you can think of.

Great vid man! One question though. I have the exact setup on the exact car but I have a strange problem. No audio when the car is running or in ACC mode, but the deck still powers up and shows that the track is playing (it's like the sound is muted when the car is running). But audio works fine when the ignition is in the "ON" position. My car isn't factory amped at all ( I don't think. Head unit doesn't say JBL or Infinity). I wired up the harness color for color too. Was there anything special you had to do to get yours to work? I'm completely stumped. lol. Anyway, if you have time, any advice would be awesome! Thanks!

Did you purchase the wiring harness by any chance with the head unit? If you did make sure that all the wires are matched up with each other and that you have a solid connection between the two wires. It sounds like you may a ground issue.

Michaels TechReviews Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I bought the Head Unit, Harness, and Mounting kit all at the same time from amazon. I forgot to mention in my original comment that I do have a line out converter still attached to the system from when I wanted to add an amp and sub to the stock head unit. I was gonna remove it and route the RCA's to the aftermarket head unit once everything was up and running. Not sure if that would be the culprit or not... I will double check my harness though! Thanks!

Hi Michael, Do you know how to set the colors to stay instead of switching back and forth? What i'm trying to ask is there an option to make 1 color stays still? I find it (the colors flashing)...distracting, especially at night.

hi,i have the 2009 sonata,it has the same center console,i have a pioneer 2 din display on it,i need to disassemble it so i can clean the laser reader for the cd,can you tell me do i need to take apart the entire center console starting from the A/T gear stick and go up or can i take the frame surrounding the cd player directly?thanks in advance

i just bought the unit from sonic electronix i am wondering how to install bluetooth microphone in my civic 09 lxs want it to be exactly the way u mounted, but what u think about the side airbags can you tug the wire in or what would be the solution

I also have side curtain airbags if you take the trim off you will expose where you can run the wiring I just ziptied the wiring to my factory wires and you wont have any interference with your airbags a lot of people will just tuck the wiring into the weather strip as well.

When you install it, or if you go somewhere to install it, you need to purchase a separate part that connects to the steering wheel. I went to Best Buy and it was an extra like $100.

I bought this and installed to my 2003 nissan frontier, my problem is when i use the BT telephone it only works on my right A-pillar tweeter speaker, should it be in all speakers. Thank you.

Yes it should be coming out of all the speakers in your car. I would check the balance settings on the headunit

I have a question, if I put in a usb drive and leave it in there to play music from, when I get in the car and start it, will it automatically start playing from the usb? or do I have to press a button every time, because that could really get annoying having to press something every time I get in the car

If you leave the usb stick in and leave the mode on it will automatically start where you left off.

I have the gls model i did not have the factory radio controls on my steering wheel, As far as the Xm radio I never used it and am not really a fan of it either so the aftermarket radio does not have xm capabilities.

So the first day I purchased this radio I was messing with it and accidentally pushed menu-system-BT memory clear-yes... After reading the Manuel I realized I cleared all my devices:( is there anyway to undo this??

No once you clear the Bt Memory it is cleared, If you go into your settings on your device you can just repair it with the headunit
