Thanks for this video. I find more and more that I'm learning my technology from you tube. I've had this stereo since it came out. I love I Think! I had installed in my old Lincoln, took it out when I traded it in. Just got a Ford Ranger that I put it in myself. loved it just put this head unit in my 95 c Caddi concours sounds amazing,replaced factory with Infinity reference and tapped into the rear sub 6x9s,LOL!and have 10" mtx with a Mean machine ,autotek amp the sound is 100 times better than factory

In the UK there is a trim ring included as well as a cage + the connectors are linked to a block.

From my knowledge, and could be wrong here but the wired remote is for control of a pioneer amp to adjust the bass levels.

Hi Paul. I just had this unit installed and my question is the statement about the "Loudness" feature. I believe you gave some sort of warning about adjusting the feature. Could you please elaborate on this? And do you have any advise on what the Htz and Eq setting should be set on? I've notice just a little static when I play either CD's and/or Flash/USB drive. I have a 2002 GMC Yukon and an Infinity subwoofer.

Hi Paul, I know you've answered this a few times below, however do you find the brightness / colours of the unit to be a little over the top for night time driving - I'm talking about driving out of the city where its darker and something like this would get pretty distracting.

Go to custom color settings and turn the RGB settings down to 0. That'll make it very very dim.

I can't figure out how to play a cd in my unit. Every time I put one in it spits it out a few times before finally going in. Then nothing happens, how do you get to cd mode?

Tbh I don’t know much about these radios but if your referring to people unable to hear you while using Bluetooth, you may want to check and make sure your mic is plugged into the back of the radio

Hello Paul, When I bought this head unit the installer that set it up for me fixed all the settings and everything worked perfictly. But I just resently had to change my battery so all the settings went to default. I am not getting the same bass like I was before. I tried to change the settings any tried everything myself but can't get it to work right. You think you can help me to make a video were I need to put all the different settings?

it does but you have to buy the seperate wire harness that makes it compatibale with your steering wheel control. I found this out the hard way. Crutchfield has it for $80.

+TheFilipinoBoxer Some cars have radio buttons in the steering wheel. Like volume buttons and buttons to change the station. Sometimes, you lose that functionality with aftermarket stereos. Other times, they'll still work, but you'll need an adapter for them. It just depends on the aftermarket stereo and whether it supports it.

The Auxiliary Port (Aux) is only a one-way input. Plug in your MP3 player or your satellite radio module to play through the stereo. It's not a headset jack. It's for input, not output. Good question.

hi there, thanks for this review. I saw this radio and though it looked pretty, like something outta Tron. I was wondering, if maybe you could answer a question i have please, though it is covered in the review, I'd like to make certain before purchasing, please. I have a dedicated amplified sub. What i like to do, is send all the higher frequencies (say above 250hz) to the normal car speakers, and everything below 250 hz to the sub. doing this means i can pound out tunes without overloading the smaller speakers. is this possible with this radio?
