My 15 Week Old Mini Dachshund Puppy | REMI

Remi had a lot of fun this week. He went to Brighton Dog Park and got to go into the ocean for the first time! There were also many other dogs he could play with. He is learning to 'wait' before eating his food and also practice impulse training. Remi and Mia also went to their favourite dog park in Prahan, where they met other dachshunds, corgis, labradors and an italian greyhound.

Jeri Selinger This is how a healthy wiener dog should look! They can have some serious back issues and health issues if too heavy. Also being a puppy he’s not yet filled out which comes later down the road. And they are known for being very into their food so a slow bowl is a helpful tool. Some dogs always eat that way

It’s really great to see wiener dogs at a nice healthy weight. Far too many obese dogs out there and these guys have tiny little legs. I don’t know how they can let it happen. Both beautiful!

Thank you! Yes sadly dachshunds are prone to obesity, so owners need to be extra diligent when it comes to their diet!

That dog is underweight. I hope that has righted itself. He doesn’t need to eat his food slow. The poor thing is half starved. Oddly your red isn’t, so I’m guessing this is the fault of where you got him.
