Wow! The sound of those tires instantly transported me back to 1979 when I was 6 years old. A family friend had a yellow Ford like this and I remember that distinct sound those tires made when cruising down those old concrete backroads near Natchez Miss. Awesome old truck!

It does pretty good with a trailer, not nearly as good since I put a cam in it. Lost a lot of low end torque with the Comp 268

@@gilbertbottom6212 mine was a hand-me-down from my great grandpa when I was 16, over 10 years ago. Free's never free. I have way too much into it already and way too much is yet to come. It's how it goes with these trucks. They'll live as long as you want em to and do anything you need and more in that time

I really like your truck & your tires!!! I would like tires like that for winter around here! But all in all, very cool truck! It's not the combo I went with for mine but very interesting to consider! I went with the more traditional type combo, 460 C6 NP205 to 9 rear with 4.11 & Detroit locker & Dana 44 front with 4.09. I keep breaking my Dana 44 fronts. Breaking axles is livable but I've spit out the spiders & ring & pinion on 2 Dana fronts now.

Sweet Turbo job on that Big 6 300. I've dreamed of doing that on my 65 F100 with the Big 6. However I want to use 100% propane & get rid of the death trap gasoline tank behind the seat. Enjoy your trophy, it looks & sounds great!

No the timing is done through an MSD 6AL-2 programmable box and an HEI distributor

@@WastedPaycheckGarage that's good to hear. I heard someone throwing a rod at 400hp. And the flaw with these engine are the pistons like to shatter. But I've got a 268 comp cam and 75mm turbo going in. You've got a good looking project there

Two questions. One why did you go with such a narrow Tire? Second how many PSI is that turbo pushing?

The 7.50-16 is the period correct tire size that most likely would’ve come on this truck, and I love how they look. I have the 8psi wastegate spring in it currently
