I have two 'chicken' planters too. One of them I made myself at a ceramics course. And I have a collection of (vintage) terracotta. And some planters are heirloom pieces ... even some plants are, they're decades old! I like taking cuttings and bringing life back in plants other people threw out.

I inherited my house and all the stuff inside so I have spent a few years going through everything. Many collectibles have lost value so instead of trying to sell them I am trying to be creative and put plants in some of them. I have a silver coffee urn from the 30s that now grows oregano. Once I started repurposing I made a major improvement in my living space. I love having antiques and family heirlooms around especially if they find a new job.

As far as planters I think way out of the box striped down a old refrigerator and banked it into a hill in my yard it is a great cold frame here in Pennsylvania love it can grow all kind of vegetables in this and took old vintage doors and screen doors with hinges on them it works very well. Have even planted up a old toilets and put in very fragrant flowers love seeing people put their face so close to it to smell the flowers. Have lots of puts made by friends and children some so not right but I love them as much as the ones that have cost me a lot more .Thank you for every thing love watching you and happy you got the awards for your work congratulations See you soon.

After that, the hens started to turn on her for whatever reason. But after taking her home a few times and then bringing her back, they seemed to let up on her and she re-integrated better.
