I’m 47 and bought myself one of these. I live in England in a coastal town and it’s the perfect bike for that. It’s not cheap but I’m planning on keeping the little fella for many years. I won’t be doing a lot of mileage, it’s just a fun little bike to cruise around town on when I feel like it. I’ll keep it well maintained and I know it’ll still be going strong years from now. I’m happy paying a premium for that. Each to their own I guess. It’s a fantastic little bike.

Thank you for your great video Sir!!! I bought the Monkey in black here in Germany and I love it so much. I took it for a ride and it could not only keep up but was even faster in terms of its acceleration and pretty much as fast in terms of top speed as my friends KTM RC 125 (15 hp at 148 kg) and the Honda CB 125 R (13,3 hp at 122 kg) without any mods. It made 122 km/h on a straight line with ease and no I had no wind coming from my back. The acceleration is phenomenal maybe caused by its light weight as well. I am not a skinny guy too (114 kg). It is such a joy to ride this little jewel by Honda. I LOVE MY MONKEY!!!

Once some aftermarket parts start becoming available for this new model, keep your eye out for a stainless steel braided brake line for your rear brake. It might not cure the weak rear braking completely, but it should facilitate some improvement.

Based off the BEST Honda's ever made, the Honda MiniTrail 50 ( HONDA still uses the same motor for 50 years, later as it is bulletproof reliable) . I had a 1976 Honda XR 75, Just great kick ass summer days, riding with great friends back in the 70's in New Hampshire. Great bike and memories for those days and the those awesome retro colors for those early Mini-trail 50's and CT-70's were the best ever. Great video and thanks , but I had a lot more fun riding my Honda minibikes in the woods ; ) !!!

Saw one of these at the local dealer in Honda Red. Looked amazing. I wanted it right then and there. Flipped over the price tag......4,600. Nevermind. The yellow looks even cooler though. Great review. I look forward to more videos of this little bad boy. You gotta get a nice luggage rack for it. Wish I could afford one. I’ll stick with my ‘73 Honda st90 for now.

I had a 1971 Z50A all original that looked every bit as good as that. Bought from original owner, with title, which was rare for WA state back then. Sold it to a boss in Oregon. It was so clean it hurt my eyes to look at the chrome. All for $350.

Nice Monkey! Congratulations. I might pick up one of these little guys at some point. Seems like theft is a common comment people are making. I had a dirt bike stolen from my shed a few years ago. Keep it locked and you should have no problems. People complain about the $4k price tag, but it is a Honda and will last forever. Thanks for the video.

Great video and wow...what an upscale neighborhood. About the brakes, I rarely use the rear brake on my bikes unless its down a steep hill or emergency stop. I'm 63 and ordered a 2022 model but not happy about the price.
@sparky6086
@sparky6086 2 жыл бұрын
Rear brake isn't to stop. It's to keep the back straight, as the front brake stops the bike, so it's squishy to lag behind the front brake. The same is true for a car braking system.

No doubt it's a cool little bike. But at the end of the day it's still a Honda 125. Honda sold a ton of mini trails and Trail 70 back in the day because they were fun and affordable. Unfortunately , this bike is priced too high . Just my opinion.

Good review. Over priced, but I’m still going to get it. In a free market capitalist system, Honda can sell it for what ever price they want. Some people can wait and just get a slightly used one, like with the groms. But I feel like people are going to keep these longer than compared to the groms.

I rarely put mine in 6th. that's where the savings really happen. when i had the '14 gt500, I upgraded some bolt ons and tune for 760hp and I couldn't believe my gas mileage. 24 mpg, I'd get. thats better than my explorer with 400 less hp. dont get me wrong as soon as I got into boost it would bring that number down but it was still up there at around 18 to 20.

If I owned a motorcycle course... I would keep a bike This size for the people who are uneasy about learning and those slow learners I would take extra time with them and get them comfortable with something like this and I guarantee after an afternoon on one of those bikes.. I do think it's a little overpriced, but the full-sized used bike comparison isn't a very good one. These mini bikes are not intended to replace full-sized bike ownership for prospective buyers. I grew up riding the Honda Trail 50, and then 70. The on/off road mini bike concept definitely has room for growth, but for complete street legal operation an engine size of between 175 and 200cc would be much better.

There's a lot of accessories for this look online they've been importing these to Taiwan and other countries for years, anti-lock brakes ABS is so the brakes don't lock up when you're rolling the computer figures that you're still moving why are my wheels stopped and it will release them just like on your car. it has nothing to do with suspension.
