I only began my collection this year! Bought a Seiko 5 back in March, bought the mirror dw5600bbma shortly after (currently am wearing it on 20mm JaysAndKays adapters and Armilla NATO-completely in love), my dad passed down his gorgeous Nivada Grenchen to me, I then sold my Seiko 5, bought a Casio a700w from the new vintage line, a couple straps and accessories later, and now I am planning to buy the new Lorier Hydra II in the future. Thank you TGV for putting out your videos that have been a part of giving me such love for the hobby!

Your annually SOTC videos just are my favourites! I got into watches 3-4 years ago by watching your videos. How you talk about timepieces no matter what price point is simply aspiring. The symbioses of pure aesthetic and history in watches is amazing. I recently also started to care more about my edc. So I began wearing my grandfathers signet ring, carrying a lovely little pocketknife he gifted me as well and appreciate the value of a nice fountain pen. And although I'm still 20, I love wearing a nice suit on the weekends. Thank you TGV for guiding me into this hole hobby and for your role model as a real gentleman. Best regards from southern Germany, Lukas

Here’s mine, newest to oldest: Seiko SARB035; Squale 1545 GMT; Marathon Navigator; Casio G-Shock Mudman; Casio Pathfinder (titanium); TAG Heuer 2000 auto blue dial; Citizen Thunderbirds Navihawk; Timex Snoopy (1970s; my first watch). I love them all for different reasons!

I'm just a high school senior and also an anti-capitalist (no shame if you do buy luxury watches, it's just not going to be my thing) , so I probably won't be expanding my collection in any foreseeable future that much! But I get a lot of joy from the five watches I own! :) 1. Seiko SNK809: My first automatic, I love it and wear it to work usually 2. Casio A500WA: this looks a bit like the classic A168, but it has a worldtime feature! I use it often for timing tests for school and I love the world time feature. 3. Seiko Quartz Gold Dress Watch V700 8A10: this was my dad's watch, I love it and use it as a dress watch for orchestra concerts and other dress up events usually 4. Vostok Amphibia (classic turquoise with the diver dude) I got this for Christmas, wonderful piece of history and Soviet ingenuity, don't wear it a lot but it's a quirky little watch! 5. Seagull 1963 Pilot Chronograph this is my favorite and most worn watch now! I love it's history with it's swan neck movement based off of the swiss venus movement, and it's use by PRC pilots. My most beautiful watch with that champaign dial, and I sometimes use the chronograph feature as a date function and let a minute pass each day of the month! I love watches and their history, but I see it's material limitation as a luxury product, so I am only going to pursue maybe a vintage Soviet Pobeda watch or another Seiko. I appreciate these videos as your interstellar video got me into watches after watching that movie and googling that watch! I appreciate your odd humor and wealth of information and passion found here. Thank you and have a good day :) -Gerrit

Great video as usual. “Long time fan, first time caller!” I appreciate the historical background you provide for your timepieces. I love many of your past and present choices, unfortunately I can’t warm up to the smaller watches (anything under 40mm), though many look so great. My collection is affordable, but appealing to me: - Tudor HBB red bezel,; Tag Heuer Formula1, Aquaracer, Aquaracer chrono, 1000, ; Hamilton Scuba, LL Bean Automatic field watch; Tissot Seastar, PRC, Visodate; Glysine Combat Sub; Seiko 007, 5, s26 50; Citizen chronograph eco drive; Steinhart GMT, Ocean One Vintage;. Saving for the new Rolex Submariner, no date. Cheers!

Selling my Polar 216570, and replacing it with BB58, gilt dial. Took me a long time to get over the "but I own a Rolex!" mentality, but the extra $$ in the difference AND having a watch I genuinely love in the BB58 will help. I keep thinking about how in the end, the only one that cares about my watches is me, that any perceived "status" is all in my head, and if I can be a little more financially healthy AND have a great watch...why not do it! Thanks for the 2020 update TGV, always a pleasure watching the channel

SOTC: * Bulova Accutron 2182 day/date with blue bestagon dial (ca. 1970) on matching blue Geckota mesh strap - my first watch purchase since my teens, and a relatively inexpensive test to see how I would get on with wearing a watch after more than 20 years of not wearing one. This is my daily now. * Bulova Accutron 214 chapter ring Spaceview in 14k GF case M4 (1964) on a well-worn Speidel leather strap. It was your Richard Rodgers video that was one of the main reasons I got interested in watches, and how fortunate to be able to start my collection with a grail (even if it is in need of a good service!) My current collection includes 3 Straton Chronos, 2 Deep Blues Divers (Chrono & GMT), 2 Magrette Chronos, a NTH Devilray, a Fortis Black Mars Chrono, A Seiko LE Orange Turtle (1st Gen), Komandirskie GMT, and a Seiko SKX given to me by my Brother in Law (he found it broken) and I've had it modded with NH35, double dome sapphire and a fully lumed pepsi sapphire bezel. The modding was inspired by your SKX Modding videos. I call this SKX the "weekender" and it's a favourite. I got a bunch of vintage seikos chronos and citizen chronos in varying assorted states of repair. Probably my piece de resistance would be my 1971 Bulova Surfboard 666 Diver Chrono. Also have an Oris LE Worldtimer Centenial Edition (with alarm clock and a beautiful massive wooden box) Seriously considering selling a bunch of these in order to obtain my grail (Doxa Sub 200 T-Graph Professional). I will NOT sell the Surfboard or Black Mars or the Oris Worldtimer (seller's remorse.) Probably will sell the Orange Turtle first as the grail is orange. Also will sell my exceedingly rare 1929 Illinois New Yorker as it worth quite a bit (I practically STOLE it off ebay) and it's WAY too small for my wrist. Probably will sell 2 Stratons and one Magrette, one Deep Blue and maybe the NTH. The only problem with selling the NTH is that I'd need to invest in a Light House to replace it. That X1 Lume is incredible! I will NOT sell the SKX.

Out of all watch channels I like yours much a lot. Just shows what watch collecting should be and not being a snob about expensive time pieces that just sits there without giving you any joy or being used. TGV keep the good work going and your knowledge of watches and history behind it is just amazing. Hugo is such a class rexy shame he scares the crap out of girls.

Thanks a lot for the video, it is always great to see how your collection evolves every year. For me, the star of the show always is the Navitimer with the 24-hour dial (has been for the last 3 years). Also, thank you for introducing me to the hobby of watch collecting, watching your videos has helped me appreciate the heritage of certain brands (I must admit I did start off with a fossil watch when I did not know any better!). It is still early days in my collecting journey, but this is what my collection looks like so far: Timex weekender chrono G-Shock GA100BBN Orient Howard Seiko Presage SRPB46J1 (brown cocktail time) Citizen Nighthawk (Blue Angels edition) There is the obvious need for a dive watch next - thinking of going for either the Orient Kamasu (teal dial) or the Lorier Neptune (all black)!

Been watching your videos for too long without thanking you, I have always liked watches but have learnt so much more since finding your channel. I’m not in a position to own such a collection as yours, just a 15 year old Seiko Kinetic and an orange Edifice but I did stretch to a Scurfa Bell Diver One this year. My first automatic and chuffed to bits with it. All the best to you!

Hey TGV- Since I started last year watching your Chanel I bought my first real Luxury watch which was the Omega Speedmaster Reduced, than my second purchase was the SKX007, Sarb033, Hamilton Khaki Field, at Christmas I traded some unused Jewlery for two watches one Frederick Constant Auto slimline which I gifted to my father “the gift of time” to a true gentlemen and scholar and the kicker was my jeweler who is a authorize dealer for Seiko had the LE Blue Alpinist which he sold to me for $500.00 trade value, 😂 Yes Score! After Christmas 2020 in January I bought a Sinn 104 “love this watch” in March COVID-19 I scored a beautiful 1970 Rolex 1603 Silver linen dial for a steal from a trusted watch broker, than followed that up with another purchase from him on a too good of a offer to pass up Tudor Black Bay 36mm blue dial! In between I have purchased for gen 1 Lorier Hydra and the Neptune 3. Love Lorier... And I recently picked up Seiko Mini Turtle 🐢 black... I have a couple of G shocks one I gifted to my Nephew who is in the Air Force as A-10 Warhog mechanic in South Korea your favorite Dw5600. He loves it, and I feel good about it being worn in Service of our great country! I almost forgot I picked up on the cheap vintage Oris 7441 1960 Incabloc Antimagnetic MW 37mm fun watch. Did I forget anything ??? Quite a year for me, thanks for all your videos and style and class. P.S. I used to be a member on your Facebook page but somehow I got deleted it blocked? I can’t find the page anymore. I was a member of another page about watches maybe that got me kicked? I never said anything bad, I just enjoy watches like you. I left the other group in the hope if that’s the reason I was kicked out. I never said anything vulgar to anyone. Perhaps, you could ask the Mod’s to review my name Brian Paul Leshyk. I would like to share my watches with that group again... Best Wishes, Brian

My collection has changed quite a bit from last year, TGV. 2019: Festina 8810 2020: Festina 8810 Festina F20527 Casio A168 (silver) Casio MDV106 (black and gilt) Seiko SRPD59 Seiko SRPD71 Seiko King Turtle (green grenade) And I pre-ordered one of the upcoming Seiko 5 x Naruto watches. I am also planning to treat myself to the champagne dial Alpinist with the gold hands for christmas! Oh and I decided to get a piggy bank to save up for a Speedy Tuesday. It'll definetly be hard to not get any more watches until I have saved up enough but that's a concern for next year LOL Thanks for getting me into this wonderful hobby, TGV. Best regards from Germany!

Glad to see it getting some love here :) I find it absolutely heartbreaking that Dan Henry only has the one Automatic watch... These is so much I like & respect about your channel, just that the one principle I like the most; your understanding & interpretation in regards to "money" & the price of watches. It is not about how much a particular watch or brand is valued at, or especially, how Joe Public views the value. It is an intrinsic & very personal matter. A watch is one of the very few items any man can wear & call "jewelry" whilst at the same time be functional. Therefore it should be our very personal choice of what we, as an individual Like & Value, the item we personally choose to have define us at that moment. Whether that be to go diving, swimming, boating, opera, dancing or binge drinking, or, & especially to be seen with our loved one. Money is not & never should be the measure of value. It is what we value. Thank you for your channel.
