A slightly different style of planning for me, but I hope you enjoy seeing this health bujo setup for 2021 (or at least repurposed to 2021). Are you tracking any meal planning or fitness goals this year??

I'm tracking fitness and eating habits only. I'm pretty much 85 - 90% plant based and working towards 95 - 98% by October. One of my habits I'm working to cut back is eating bread when stressed.

I have looked into BLE, it seems like a great plan. I'm a level 10 on the scale, and giving up sugar and flour scare the ish out of me! I know it will be effective, if I really gave it a try. But I'm afraid to even try. I should try it, I know, but I'm afraid it'll be just one more thing I failed at. I guess that's only proof of how addicted I am to sugar and flour. I might try it soon, you've inspired me!
@HeartBreathings4 жыл бұрын
I am also a 10 and it was scary for me too! It does take a few weeks to really get off the sugar addiction, but once the major cravings are gone it's so easy and you start to feel better than ever. Give it a try if you are pulled to it!

As a fellow PCOS sufferer I have to say 'I feel you'. Over the years I've tried several different ways of eating to try to combat the symptoms. It's amazing how food affects PCOS so massively! I've never tried Brightline Eating so I can't comment on it. For me, the most effective I've found is Keto. I feel a lot better on it and have more energy. What I don't do... is lose weight. It holds my weight steady though, so at least I'm not gaining, but I do wish I could lose weight. My problem now is that I have now got severe arthritis in my knees which makes even walking around the house painful, so any exercise is really difficult for me. I'd love to go back to swimming but our pools here in the UK are completely closed at the moment because of COVID. I wish you all the best of luck in your health goals for 2021!

Thanks for this. I'm also a PCOS sufferer, diagnosed at the age of 18 and having symptoms all my life. However it's really in the past two years, now that I'm approaching menopause, that my hormones have gone completely haywire! I listened to the Bright Line Eating audiobook after you mentioned it on your channel back in October so I'm trying it, starting Monday. (I never start anything on Jan 1st because it puts too much pressure on the new year, LOL!) I'm hoping that it will help with my crazy messed up hormones but it would also be nice to (eventually) lose 100lbs. So thanks for sharing about it and for sharing your tracking.

@HeartBreathings4 жыл бұрын
Happy new year! Sorry to hear you are struggling with insomnia. As for sugar, no even natural sweeteners are off the menu. She explains better in her book, but basically the same parts of the brain are stimulated regardless of whether it's sweetness from monkfruit juice or agave or processed sugar. Whole fruits, though, don't light up that part of the brain that makes us addicted, but honey does. If you find that interesting and want to read the actual research, I highly recommend her book. It was a real eye opener for me in realizing why I had never been able to stick to "everything in moderation" type eating.
@nimedhel094 жыл бұрын
@@HeartBreathings Oh! Thanks for the explanation! And don't worry, I'm working on helping the insomnia (and it's also not my most pressing health issue, I will admit). It's quite interesting! I did not know that. However, I don't think I'd be able to cope with drinking my teas without some sweetener. It's the only thing I really consume that is sweet :o But I'm planning to cut back on dairy this year... I was good before getting pregnant, like you, but since then, I'll admit that my diet has been not good at all. A lot of us are working on our health and diet this year, it seems, hehe! I hope that we'll be able to encourage and empower each other throughout the year!

@SarraCannon4 жыл бұрын
If you drink it outside meals, yes. Black. Oof. If you drink it during meal you can use post of your protein to add milk or no sugar creamer. Once I got down to my goal weight, I still allowed myself to have a coffee when I went writing with friends once a week, even though it had milk (flat white at Starbucks). But during weight loss, I just had a lot of tea lol.

So, I coach women with PCOS :) The Brightline method makes sense from what I know about PCOS and my experience working with it - especially if you have insulin resistant PCOS [which is sounds, from a very basic perspective, is the type of PCOS you have!] Food is an incredible medicine and can be a great catalyst for getting things well managed.
@HeartBreathings2 жыл бұрын
That's so great to hear, Elena! It's hard to find a good health coach who really understands PCOS and listens! I definitely have insulin resistant PCOS and Brightline helped me to get pregnant at 41, so it really has worked well for me. It's just been soooo hard to get back to it over the past few years. I'm committed again, though, and definitely taking the approach of food as medicine so I can get my energy back to higher levels. Thanks for commenting!

Haha I understand! My husband has no problem just indulging every once in a while and in moderation but I can't seem to do that. I can't control myself! I think it really just depends on whether it's an addiction or a treat! My best friend also said the same about sugar! Giving it up certainly isn't for everyone.
