Hey everyone :) Welcome back to set up another 2022 bullet journal! This journal is a bit different from the bullet journals I typically make and use because this one will be use solely for collecting memories as more of a "diary" for 2022. Let me know what you think!

I use a separate journal to record my daily thoughts and my bullet journal to keep track of tasks, appointments and trackers. I really like your setup here. I may try something like it.

I use a ring planner for work, and then keep a personal journal. My journal has a monthly calendar for personal events, birthdays, and doctors appointments. Then I have monthly purchase tracker and exercise tracker. Each week has a food log and Fit Bit report. Then I do my daily journal entries. And last for each month is a favorites page. I also keep a separate reading journal and crochet projects journal.

I started bullet journal last year, but I didn’t like everything in one, I disliked rooting through for something I wanted. So for 2022… I’ve set up 4 so far! They are all soft cover books, I bought a pack of 12! One is for tracking finance, another for cleaning, ( I follow FLY lady) another for goals and ideas, last but not least memories! Also I like to bring my goals idea with me and as I can be forgetful I’d hate to leave anything personal in the wrong place! I absolutely love your ideas and videos. I’ve recently introduced my 33 year old daughter to bullet journaling and she loves it too, of course I directed her to your channel for ideas. 😉😃

The way I’m starting to keep memories: Junk Journaling. I just discovered it in the last few months and LOVE it. I’m normally a very structured, bullet journal type person, but I really love the freedom that comes with junk journaling. Just KZbin “junk journaling”

I´ve moved my personal journaling into a separate notebook (standard Leuchtturm 1917, love them) in which I just write freeform whenever I feel like it using my fountain pens and inks. These entries often turn into a conversation with God, aka prayer. Inspired by Robert J. Morgan´s great book "100 Bible Verses everyone should know by heart" I´m going to try to memorize one or two verses per week. They will go into my regular bujo´s (Perfectly Penned, 120 gsm, 255 pages, can take a whole year) weekly spreads so I see them every day. Thank you for your inspiring videos, Rylee! I probably won't keep a seperate journal, but I do love the 2-page memories spread with the different boxes. I did leave enough room at the beginning of my 2022 planning journal to do something like this. Right now, I just use a brain dump section in my weeklies to write down any memories. Depending on the number of days is a month I may have room for a monthly wrap up, but I really like these.

I use one journal for church notes + actual extended journal entries about my life, and then my bullet journal has everything else (planning, tracking, memory-keeping, etc)!

I have a B5 STM that I use for memory keeping. I select my favorite pics and use a HP Sprocket to print the pics. I decorate the pages with washi and tape and use a fineliner to make a quick note about the pic.

I've never really journalled for memory, but this year I started a 5 year journal. I've already missed a few days here and there, but I love that each day for the next 5 years is on the one page, and I don't have to write a lot, just a couple of sentences for each day.

I recently started my own memory journal separate from my normal bujo. I do a monthly cover page with a theme and then decorate a few pages thereafter so I can then write in a journal/diary when I want to. More free write. I also bought a digital photo printer so I can print out pictures from that day if I want to collect memories further in the journal. More like a diary I suppose. But that way I can really record memories and snapshots from that time.

I kept all of my memories in my bullet journal, but I use my bullet journal as a structured diary basically. So I have pages dedicated to pictures and some for daily writings. I have a separate planner for tasks. I also included an end of the year spread in my last bullet journal. I love this setup and I’m thinking about using the quotes page!

i make a monthly page where i write down the memories i made in that month and then at the end of the year, i do this a review form spread where i lookback throughout the year abt all the achievements, things to improve and good memories made and what I'm looking forward to for next year in my daily journal :) and this one was really a great idea soo thanks rylee!

I grabbed one of the archer and olive traveler notebooks for memory keeping in 2022. I use to use a mason jar and post in notes to keep yearly memories, but now that I've jumped into bullet journaling and whatnot, I really wanted to put in in a journal.

I don't collect memories for just writing memories, I just journal when I can and I write what I'm thinking about, and I do updates about my life in the moment. In 2021 I finished my journal the last day of December, just before the new year, and I started a new one 3 days ago"

Rylee I just love your videos and style! I tried keeping everything together last year and lately I'm off track. I have decided to seperate my memory keeping and journaling from my planning and tracking going forward. I envision something similiar... daily memories, journal entries, and monthly recap/favorites. I love the quotes page idea!! I also have a reading journal and I wonder if I should do a collections journal, but I may incorporate that into my memory book since they are often memory related.

This Memories bujo is absolutely gorgeous! I love the theme of the neutral colors. I'm currently using a somewhat small lined notebook for my journal, and even if I don't finish it by the end of the year (actually, I know I won't haha), I'll still be purchasing a new one for 2022. My journaling typically involves recaps, since I don't write every single day. Although I *do* want to start art journaling next year! I've learned in the past year or so that art therapy is super helpful for my mental health, so I'm going to dedicate an entire journal to it. I'm considering getting just a plain sketchbook for it so that whatever pictures and washi tape I put in, I can organize it however I see fit. Happy Holidays Rylee!

What a great idea! I have the same thought recently. The regular bullet journal is not the right place for thoughts and memories. I put everything in my bullet journal. I use the monthly future log (numbered 1-30 in the front of the monthly pages) to write the highlight of the day (when there are no appointments or whatnot), jot down memories in the daily entries, and do scrapbook type pages whenever I have a special event or travel…which hasn’t been much these past couple of years. You have created a lovely set up for your memories.

This is so pretty and such a good idea!! I have a hard time keeping up with multiple journals, so I do memory keeping in with everything else. I don't make separate pages for it in my regular set up or anything, I just add it in when needed. But then I end up using more than two journals each year, and this year for example, I ended up having to start a new one in November. Just a little bit, kind of annoying to have the new yearly spreads before the last two months of the previous year! lol

Maybe you could scan your yearly and then print and stick them in a much thinner notebook if you have a couple of months at the end of year like this again. It would save time.

I absolutely LOVE this idea. I bought a notebook therapy journal and the same as this one and couldn’t choose which one to use for my bullet journal(planning only). And when I decided for a notebook therapy one it was kind of sad not to use Leuchtturm journal because it’s just SO GOOD and pages are really smooth and have beautiful yellowish undertone. I thought of using it as my next morning pages notebook /dairy but now I might try this idea, or even combine everything😍 it’s just a little sad that we won’t see much of this journal in the future(but I understand why though)

I was planning something similar but I don't know exactly what I want to do. I noticed this year that I didn't use my planning related spreads and I decided that I don't need them in my bullet journal. I mostly used memories, habit tracker and thoughts spreads which means that one bullet journal will be enough the next year.

question: do you plan your pages b4 you start? like do you have a sketch or blueprints you follow? I just started my first bullet journal and i did one of those pages you do where your draw all the different looking sticky notes and post-its. I think if you limit your washi tapes to two or three it would still be doable for your viewers. Washi is very affordable.
