This makes me want to switch to storygraph. ❤

It’s pretty great! And easy to import. It just has you sign into your goodreads through a portal and it does the rest

Oh man, i gotta get on storygraph. I have just been so unwilling to make the move, this was great though.
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
It’s really easy to import from Goodreads! And if you subscribe to their plus membership thing there’s even more stats available, I guess, which is tempting.

Love StoryGraph stats 🧡

I read 271 but you are lapping me! :) I started Storygraph last year but use both because I have years of info on Goodreads which I check constantly. Did not want to check both places but I guess this way I have to enter it both places.. maybe I should rethink that!

I imported all my goodreads data to StoryGraph, but I do still end up adding reviews to both. There’s so many more people on Goodreads.

The stats on Storygraph are way better than goodreads. I have started tracking on Storygraph this year for that reason. Your average rating is great. 😊💙
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
Yeah I like it a lot more! I think it’s really coming along. Tags weren’t there last year, I think?… and yeah! Overall a really good reading year!

Pace is so objective and its different for everyone a really good point. That genre split is goals 😂
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
Haha yeah! Every time a pace feels good I rarely mark it as slow, even though it might be. I try to be mindful when I’m marking stuff down but it’s difficult. I guess it’s nice that you see how other people marked it too though. If most people think you’re wrong and it was medium or fast, that’s something.

Had no idea there was a tag feature on StoryGraph! Thanks!
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
No problem! They sure don’t draw your attention to it. If it hadn’t imported all mine from Goodreads I probably wouldn’t have bothered starting a whole new one.

Love a stats video! I haven't used tags on story graph, I'll have to look into that. Your average rating was great, sounds like a good reading year!
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
Yeah! Even with the duds from Booker reading it still ended up being quite high!

I only ever do author stats (like white / PoC and male / female) because I'm too lazy to do more but I love watching this nerdy stats-stuff. 🤩
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
I wish StoryGraph would automatically track stuff like that too, it would make things so much easier haha!!
@ThatsSoPoe Жыл бұрын
Nice to see a scroll-through of your stats! Interesting how your genre/topic breakdown differs from storygraph, as well as from previous years.
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes I think tracking your own stuff via tags can be way more interesting.

I find it so interesting to look at Storygraph stats! And wow 477 books...wow...that's a lot. Though only 13% over 500 is probably why you were able to read so much. I read so many long books last year that it really slowed me down. Though I couldn't imagine reading 477 books in one years. Congratulations!
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
Thanks! There’s 62 books over 500 pages. So still a descent amount. Around 11 more than 1000 pages. It just doesn’t seem like that many compared to the other categories.

I just love StoryGraph. And yes, the categorisation of the pacing seems to be a bit off sometimes, because people are ticking the boxes so subjectively that it doesn't represent the book correctly. Also I think they are working on getting the imported data more refined with regard to the genres. Also if I read literary fiction, it will be only counted for that, but if I'm reading a memoir it ticks the nonfiction category as well. Still hoping that people start more to not only using the review form, which is nice and handy, but to write more actual reviews.
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
Yeah it does seem to be improving every year! It’s still miles better than Goodreads. Most people on there just do a star rating too :\
@drawyourbook876 Жыл бұрын
Storygraph stats are great. Also, 477 is a humungus amount of books!! That is more than a book a day!
@SpringboardThought Жыл бұрын
Yeah! With audiobooks I just seem to chew right through things, and then I just make a lot of time to read.
