T.b.h. I actually dó think Ferrari will end up 2nd... Both drivers have something to prove; Lando first has to prove he can actually win 'a' race. Imagine Carlos finishing the season as 2nd and Lewis for some reason ending up 8th or 9th; That would bring interesting dynamics! Although I don't really think Carlos can outdo Charles...

​@@LawVSNo it does not. Because Norris will outscore Leclerc, and Piastri will outscore Sainz. That will automatically put Mclaren ahead of Ferrari. Even if Leclerc has 90 points more then Piastri and Norris will have only one more then Leclerc, Norris will still bring home more points then Leclerc en so will Piastri when it comes to Sainz. This will add more points to Mclarens tally. I actually agree with you that the Mclaren drivers will outscore the Ferrari drivers, but the accurate calculation in that case is that Mclaren also outscores Ferrari in the constructors championship

I agree, 2-5 in the constructors championship will be VERY close. It could come down to who makes the least errors (or most) by either driver or team. Mostly, I'm hoping for Williams to have a good year.

im feeling like carlos might do better than we expect. he ultimately has something to prove and he wants to prove that he belongs in one of the top teams especially after he lost his seat at ferrari to hamilton. i dont think we should underestimate his adaptability - after all, he has been adapting since suzuka last year when the car was upgraded to be more suited to charles. and he still was in the front rows / near the front rows. but definitely, i feel like mclaren will finish ahead of Ferrari in the constructors if they continue with their current trajectory and lando might even have a chance to fight verstappen for the championship

Max and Charles will be within 75 points of each other, and Oscar Piastri and George Russell will also be within 50 points of each other. Lando will have a pretty safe buffer above and below him regarding points. Australia will have two red flags. Lando will win his first race at Silverstone.

There is no way Stroll is only 2 positions behind Alonso unless there is a massive gulf between Aston and the next car. Alonso will almost certainly get better than 10th in the championship. Cars are just too close for Alonso not to shine through.

This is after the first day of testing. That Red Bull looks good on track. Mercedes and Ferrari are bottoming out hard, not funny. AMR looks good and MCL not convincing yet. VCARB looks decent. Alpine, Stake and Haas are looking alright, not bad. Williams has troubles with the '23 Mercedes gearbox, the car looks decent

What do you guys think of dropping sprint qualifying and just using the GP qualifying for a reverse grid? You have five strong teams Red bull Ferrari Mercedes McLaren Aston Martin They will basically lock out the top 10 in qualifying and most likely finish the race in the top 10. And thus leaving the slower cars to start closer to the front in sprint races. On Saturday we have the slower cars going all out for points cause they're not scoring on Sundays. Imagine Haas having a 1-2 finish in a sprint. Sunday we have a normal race between the top 5 teams.

alpine will finish p6 again just because there is no like plan for them to climb the grid doesnt mean they will fall down, they have a solid concept car for this era and i dont believe RB will pass them neither williams because of logan seargent, williams might get a better car but will not have 2 good drivers to achieve p6, alpine has 2 race winners dont forget about that

You can say that a lot more components of the RB19 can be found on the Visablablabla.... but then again, a lot more components of the RB19 can be found on other teams as well. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Haas can hardly go back further in the rankings. I think Mercedes will drop the furthest down on the constructor's ladder. Closely followed by Alpine. I don't see why Logan Sargeant would score points.

Hear me out, the rb20 isn't as stable and they are trying to hide it by glory running. If I'm wrong then fine but that's the vibe I'm getting.

1:00 Yeah, jump from 8th to 6th is such a big improvement... it's almost as if nobody's ever jumped from 9th to 2nd... oh wait, McLaren did. AlphaTauri aren't McLaren of course, but they were in a similar situation - just like them, they had a temporary dip in form. AT were already 6th in 2021 and 7th in 2020 but that's when the pink Mercedes was a thing, otherwise they would have probably been 6th again. They had a dip in form with the new regs. Then recovered their position as 6th fastest at the end of 2023. That's all that happened. A recovery to their normal form. People are seriously overplaying this as if something changed dramatically. Nothing's changed, they went back to where they were and people have the memory of a goldfish. We have yet to see if something has changed dramatically. That's for the 2024 season.

Can't lie, I agree with a lot of predictions, only real changes I'd make would be McLaren higher (yes i am on the McLaren hype train), Stroll much lower, Ricciardo higher (bc I think he'll get promoted to Red bull mid season and therefore gets lots more points) and Checo much lower (bc of bad performances at the beginning). Looking forward to see how wrong I am at the end of the season tho bc it is the first full season I'm gonna watch

I think we overestimate Max’s desire to fight worthy opponent…he likes it as long as they’re not as good and he wins all…don’t think he can stomach finishing second or having a strong teammate like Norris, Hamilton or Leclerc have…make no mistake, Max would ultimately beat pretty much any teammate, but would hate (like his daddy) that someone steals his shine from time to time…I see Leclerc 3rd and a close fight between Lando and Lewis for 4th…and Sainz in front of Russell…

I'm cautiously optimistic about McLaren's prospects this year. I'd love for both drivers to win races, but mostly I just want the team to start the campaign strongly and maintain that form as much as possible throughout; I still have the terrible starts of the last couple of seasons in the back of my mind!

My sole predictions for the year are that Max and RB are almost as dominant as last year but not quite, and Sainz makes Ferrari feel regret by out scoring Le Clerc, who i think is the most over rated driver in the last 20 years. He's fast on one lap for sure, but he fades mentally far too often. Sainz also had a cerebral and memorable win last year that showed just how good a racer he is.

The only way HAAS will improve long term is a new owner. Andrea and Fred are prepared and are thinking long term. McLaren drama will to be to not show favoritism with upgrades. Ferrari already exacerbated that issue. Merc could even finish lower. Really wonder if that motivated Lewis to move. Agree with the scope of the rankings. Silly season could be all year.

The lowest i can see mercedes is 3rd cuz this a transition year from lewis to george. Toto n co would want to make this szn a litttle less sucky than the last 2 for lewis' sake and end on a somwhat good note. I also see mclaren being the team to improve a bit more and lanoscar to get some wins

Hot take 1. RB 2. Mercedes 3. Mclaren 4. Ferrari 5. Williams 6. VCARB 7. Aston Martin 8. Alipine 9. Sauber 10. Haas Knowing ferrari, 2 fired up drivers is a death sentence. Mclaren has the more composed line up and thus will be more consistent. Considering how bad the w14 was and they still got second, mercedes will be hard to beat for second. Albon is a stronger driver than everyone bellow the list except Alonso, like, from 5th down, which team has a very strong car/driver pairing? Albon, Ricc, Alonso, the rest is all in the bin. In bred stroll will fail even harder this year, to prove he shouldn't be in the sport.

I think Checo in P2 is dependent on the outcome of this complaint against Horner. If Horner goes and Marko gets more control Checo will be dropped unless he is coming second to Max each race.

I think Yuki will finish ahead of Daniel Ric, Danny will not be in a RedBull with Max, ever. Carlos will be much higher and possibly in front of Charles and then Mic Drop and walk into the sunset. Just sat through the 2nd session. Everything is same same. I don’t know what is going on with the Merc. Unless he has a major adjustment and immediately George Russell is not a team leader. Mercedes need a on-track leader. Alonso is a must for that team. No one else I can see in that seat.
