My $27 Hotel/Visiting Pattaya Beach Road am and pm when the freelancers appear in Thailand.

I've stayed in Pattaya for over a week now. Having spent so long in the Philippines, it took me awhile to find my feet, but I've settled in now. Waking to beautiful sunshine and no rain every morning is a joy as I start my day walking along Beach Road beside the sea.
I moved from S-Lodge next door to Sabai Sabana which although part of the same chain is a much more classier hotel and has a warmer welcome.
The closest beach to Bangkok, Pattaya has become an international tourist destination due to its colourful nightlife. What does Pattaya offer the expat? I walk the streets giving a glimpse of the characters who gather on Beach Road by day and night.
Is Thailand a good country for expats to live or retire to? Is Pattaya a good place to live? Low cost of living, diversity, culture, weather, food and scenery entice foreigners to live in Thailand. Pattaya is a great spot by the sea. Thailand is regarded as the "land of smiles" with Thais being welcome and warm people. Could you live here?

It amazes me that architects don't consider whether swimming pools are gonna get any sunlight or not. You're only guarantee is with a rooftop pool and those hotels are generally expensive.

Thanks! The gold ring was my Grandfather's who died in 1946. My old fella gave it to me around 1980, so quite sometime. Trouble is women think I'm married even thou I wear it on my right hand!
