Bro your pops and bangs are smooth and they are the more reliable ones. When you listen the pops like the blue rocco ones, they are much more aggressive and it's not as reliable than yours. It can heat up the exhaustline excessively.

I got a 2l tsi dsg scirocco with a switchable pop and bang and it’s a life saver 😂 only downside is if i rev it doesn’t do anything

got a question got the 2010 scirocco 1.4tsi twin charged, obviously aware engine is abit shocking but done majority of the engine support mods for a map, what do you think in the long run is it worth getting a pop and bang map put on as it’s my first modified car

Umm there are certain EA111 1.4 TSI engines that are super problematic. You’d have to check your engine code to see if you have the revised model. Either way, it’s a risky thing to do… especially on the pre-revision engines. I would not put a pop and bang map. If it’s a revised version, you could maybe get away with a subtle over-run (but not MEGA POPS AND BANGS). They super loud ones are the real damaging ones

ur pops sound more like stock pops very soft but at the same time u got alot of pops mine the pops are loud but isnt like continues its more like shoots, only when the exhaust hot and very hard drive it sounds like ak, mine sound some like michael

Great video mate! Have you got any other dv/bov considering youve blanked off the stock dv port? That would explain the compressor surge. Not that surge is a horrendously bad thing, its not ideal but id do it for the sound 😂

Haha I do have a spare RTMG BOV that I could use! But I cannot use the stock DV because this engine does not support those. The stock turbo doesn’t come with a DV at all on this platform

@@Em_Ligman strange, Im sure you can fabricate your own solution. All you would need is a pipe from the engine side of the turbo connecting to DV, and plug that into the intake pipe. That way you could use any DV you want, all you'd need is a vacuum source from the manifold. Get bart on it 😂

Yo Em, did you already upgrade the VVT on the exhaust? It might be the reason you’re not hitting 300hp. The 122,125PS versions only have VVT on the intake and not the exhaust. Might be worth looking into as it’s a easy upgrade. 👀

I find it hard to believe it’s making just under 30 psi on an is20. Is38 for sure but still low 200’s at the wheels on 29psi doesn’t add up. You must be way out of the turbo’s efficiency and the level of heat being created is just pulling timing. An intercooler is a must or charge cooler idk what’s on this platform.

Yeah we 100% need to upgrade the stock charge cooler! But people do run these IS20 turbos past 2.0 bar on the EA211 platform. Don’t know if mine is actually 2.0 bar, i think it’s more like 1.9 bar from when we done data logs.

I don’t understand why the diverter has been blanked, these turbos require it to be used, there is nowhere for the excess boost pressure to go when the throttle closes and wastegate closes

@@Em_Ligman i get that but surely there are means of diverting the boost by other means or fitting something that can allow for the diverter to be used. Is the turbo actually producing 2 bar of boost because this is massively out of the is20 efficiency. It wouldn’t surprise me if you dialled back the boost the car would make more power because once you go past the point of it’s efficiency you’re just creating more heat, with more heat you’re more likely to come across timing retardation which will hinder performance. I genuinely think there are a few approaches that have lead your car to not make the power you expected it to make
