Your ecu would be pulling ignition timing like crazy at those temperatures. A good intercooler will make a big difference.

as the intercooler is integrated to the intake manifold its absolutely normal. out of the turbo around 150-160celsius is normal. also 40deg on the intake mani is absolutely great

@@Carlicious-Parts interesting! I did unfortunately hit over 50C in the intake manifold within a few minutes of pushing the car… and it would’ve kept on climbing higher but I backed off once it passed 50C

@@Em_Ligman you need a bigger heat exchanger. you have a liquid intercooler. and get a bigger water pump for that stuff.

40 degrees is not really good, especially before pushing the car. on a track it would definitely get way too high quickly.

@@fikuscina depending on the outside temp on a small turbo engine its totaly ok. rs2 running up to 80deg :) as you see in the vid, the temp drops once he floors it. big intercooler wont give you the power, just gets it more laggy

@Carlicious-Parts You do realise this is degrees celsius not fahrenheit , my mate just boosted his unopened 1.6 Hyundai Getz on e85 and made 245whp and 465wnm and his intercooler temps never got above 30 degrees celsius at the throttle body and he wasn't using water meth either.

Honestly bro the heat is killing me rn. Ive seen IATs at 55C on my poor 1.8t, thanks to my hot air intake haha. I wouldnt worry too much, see how much timing the engine is pulling under boost thru vcds. As long as they check out and you are running premium fuel i think you'll be alright. Intercooler upgrade is a good idea tho lol.

Bro your car is good, all the temperatures recorded are normal in summer. If the temperatures increases too much it will limit the torque automatically. How much fuel consume it ?

@@JC_V99 I’ve tested it further since and it easily hits 50C+ in the intake manifold when you push it for more than just 1-2 gears. It is running 1.9 bar peak. Very hot for a stock water cooler to handle. Anything near 65C is very bad

Did you measure this temps before the stage 3? Is almost the same thing. Even your turbo must be less hot than the stock one because it spin less. Don't worry! If your tuner did a good job all have to be good. I'll be waiting for this draggys runs!!!!

Yeah.. 😅 I did want to test it without one to see how it would get on, and now that we have some data to work with in terms of the before result. I can make a proper before and after comparison for the temperatures once we have the air to air FMIC installed
