Started the same day as u did LOL. I had blender installed to learn it almost exactly a year ago, I planned to learn something and 3d print it for my gf (ex now). I forgot about it until today, it was suppose to be our 1 year anniversary. Sad but I got into blender and already making cool stuff. Didn't finish the donut tutorial yet, but I'm making other stuff. @@boppled im gonna tell you a secret,lot of professional artist didn't make they own asset!!,sometimes they(me too) just pick the asset on internet when making some project,like if we need some sofa or anything,to save time,we only making our own asset when the client want specified look for the asset and you can't find it on internet,but of course you need to know how to make the asset first before you can pick it on internet,like if you want to use asset from internet like sofa for example,you need to know how to make that sofa first,so its okay if you want to use asset from internet

@@cractor6307 hey, if you haven't already started learning to sculpt characters, I would extremely recommend this tutorial ; kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXXaaXmteM5ol7s&ab_channel=JustTisArts I have just started learning to sculpt characters and this has been extremely helpful. I have just 'finished' the face and I'm now working on the body. They are kinda long, but definitely worth it. He doesn't ramble either, just teaches you. Hope this is helpful to you :D

Great work! I just started this week and I was surprised by how easy it actually is. Don't get me wrong, it's still a lot of hard work and there are a lot of things withing Blender that I don't understand or even know about, but still... within no time I was able to grasp the very basics and able to create. Such a powerful program.

really great ideas! i used it a few years ago to make high-poly models for Skyrim, and now I use it to make quick videos for my science students. these scenes of a few elements are like doodles, and are a great way to learn new features and processes - i should do this more

truest blender progress I've ever seen in KZbin. I'll give you some ideas to work on next. bicycle forest scene vehicle model full small house. (best exercise) those exercises really made me evolve in blender so i suggest you try them ^_^

Yes, losing inspiration after doing some blender tutorials after a while is part of the process... Take time to relax and do other things... but if you want to force yourself to practice like in school then you can also do that too! Hold on to a list of projects you want to make so you wont run out of ideas. Happy Blending everyone 😄😄😄

Good job on getting all the poses for Geri's Game, sure it wasn't a full animation but the experience was valuable nonetheless. I learned pretty quickly that I'm not really one for animation beyond some simple things, I just don't have the patience and see it more as work more than anything. Instead, I've decided to focus on producing quality models and environmental art. Great job Boppled, keep it up :)

Blender is so intimidating when you open it for the first time and then you give donut a go if you stick to it for a month do one independent project then its only 3 variables 1. Imagination 2. Time 3. System requirements for rendering (this one can really suck)

Thanks! I'm glad to see that I am an example for you! I recommend following a few tutorials, but don't follow them too strict, improvise. After that you can try your own projects, but you might want to keep them simple. Also try to find your style (I like realism)

I have the Ge66 raider laptop from MSI, so a 10th gen intel I9, an Rtx 2070 from Nvidia, 16 gigs of ddr4 ram and 1 tb SSD storage. One downside of this laptop is the amount of noise it makes, but it was a good deal for it's price of 2100€. Good luck on your journey with blender, i'm sure you'll make some amazing projects. Modelling shouldn't be that intense, maybe check for modifiers? Also if you want to render them out you could try to look for a render farm which renders for you
