Good Stuff. I love the Sniper setup and also going with the UMI suspension. I will have to look into the 6 speed setup that is pretty awesome 80+ at 2700

I up graded to a 342 posi,,, but regret I was talked into keeping my turbo 350 trans. Its rebuilt but want to replace with a 2004R 4speed trans.

Having overdrive is definitely a must! I used to run a 2004R back when I had a small block in the car, and I really enjoyed it. Check out the channel @oldsmobobby on KZbin, he has a 2004R in his cutlass and makes videos about it!

Thanks! I currently am running a PSC 12:1 ratio box, however this winter I’ll most likely be changing over to an 8:1 ratio box.

Did you have to drill your crankshaft to install the T56 pilot bearing for the input shaft to fit?

Nope! The 455 has an eagle crank in it, which is pre drilled for a pilot bearing. Pretty much any big block already drilled for a pilot bearing will work with the t56

Not that I know of. Every single one I’ve seen on an Oldsmobile has been custom made.

My 71 nova was manuel drum brakes,no power steering. You had to turn forever to go around . My 71 chevelle I'm building I'm changing all that 💩. These old cars were terrible in factory form.

Agreed. Luckily the aftermarket support is there to make them much better!
