Hello Yoda, Thank you so much for saying so. I probably went through about a hundred old cars through the decades, mostly 1950's cars I'd say. Many of these cars can be seen on my website: www.rudolphsupholstery.com and on my Rudolph's virtual museum pages. I has been a very long time since I did a Carson top. Also, it has been a long while since I have had a customer for a bowed headliner. Please keep liking and watching!

Number 5 is one of the things I learned back when I did electronics repair- the value of your service is subjective- one difference with electronics is that it must be restored 100% to perfect to get paid- there aren't alternative levels of quality of materials (at least not for my work). Thanks for sharing again- and even though I'm not in the business- I still get a great deal of satisfaction watching you share your techniques and tips- and I probably have applied them in my other handiwork without even realising it. The world is always better when we share ideas because one idea shared can multiply into hundreds. Cheers.

I even referred another KZbinr (pole barn garage) his latest video he did a reupholsters job on a car he is doing. Hi, thanks for the tutorials. I've gone through your whole library and I can't see any classic car door cards. I'd like to learn how to make similar cards to factory, even though the muscle cars I have used the welded seams but how can we replicates these with sewing, and put carpet on bottom so the seat belt doesn't punch a hole in the lower part. Or making map pockets on the bottom.
@oldschoolautoupholsteryАй бұрын
Hello Poy, Thanks for hanging in there with me. Are you in the UK? I hear they are called door cards in the UK. Here in the US, they have always been known as door panels. Anyway, Because most people don't have a half million dollar heat embossing machine, I had always just duplicated the seams and pleats with my sewing machine. Real head liners. Ii did not label the wires when I removed the old head liner. How do I figure out where they go? Is it that important?

Hello C2, THE most important part of doing a bowed headliner is numbering the bows counting back from the windshield. When taking the old headliner down, 1st bow, label #1, 2nd bow, label #2 and so on. Most of the time the bows have a shape and specific length. Yep, important. Please keep liking and watching!
