Hey guys. I am an amateur at Calisthenics. I have recently started it at home and I love it and I really wanna get better at it. I used to go to the gym earlier so I'm not completely new to physical training. I need some guidance but it's too expensive for me to subscribe to expert programs that these KZbinrs create. I just watch their videos and manage to learn but I feel I lack some guidance. Can you guys suggest something? I am even ready to connect through social media as friends and learn with you guys if required. I really wanna grow through Calisthenics.

Dude, I hate this so freaking much... It feels like my work is discredited this way. " ill train like you for a couple of weeks, and reach your level". Are you freakin kidding me?!?! People don't realize how much dedication, patience, how many tries (and so on it) takes to reach a straddle planche! To learn a perfect handstand takes months.....
@MarkTBeats4 жыл бұрын
@Keep Rocking! For myself of course but I hate when I work insanely hard for something and people think that is achievable within days or weeks! And they are acting like "meh... its not that hard"
@MarkTBeats4 жыл бұрын
@Keep Rocking! I do this and did so I can help out other people and motivate other people. Not for the "wows" 5 months after I started, I noticed that nobody really cares about skills only people who are really into callisthenics. We were talking about how people discredit other people because THEY DO NOT KNOW what they are talking about, not about "ouhh it sucks so much that people do not care about my skills" How would I ( or anyone)care about somebody's opinion when they don't even know what they are talking about... Let's say you put on 20pounds of muscle, and somebody sais that it is easy, when they are not even training. Would you be angry? Of course not , he doesn't know what is he talking about. Would he discredit your work by saying that? Absolutely yes. We do this because we care about ourselves and liv challenges and we consider training a privilege not a chore. Not for a cheap applause.... Have a nice one

same, once I learned any pose like a handstand or a yoga pose, I can go a month without it and re do it ! Im a woman and I started with weight training because I couldn't let myself go to the gym without being able to make 1 push up lol. After 3 years of weight training, I started to branch out to more body weight moves. And it was way better for me to have started with growing my muscle first and THEN do calisthenics. I tried with bodyweight first but it was just pathetic at this point haha Just sharing for anyone who might relate :)

It was your channel that motivated me to really start working out 2 years ago. I was very weak because of poor ROM from a broken wrist in childhood (could not do 1 real pushup, so my strength foundation is awful). I realized that slow/steady progress is better than no progress, and now I can do 8 pushups on my fists. Big reminder to new people: track your progress. Get a note app or notebook and write down your reps/sets every session. You'll look back 1 year from now and appreciate your progress.

Bodyweight training is a compilation of skills learnt. Once you master a skill, your brain has created so many neural pathways. Those stay for a really long time. So you will be able to do bodyweight skills after not doing them for long periods of time. That is what makes calisthenics better than traditional gym. It trains skills in functionality, which do not leave you, and in training skills, you are also refining your mind and requiring your brain. It has both physical and neural benefits.

All I can say that this video is a gamechanger for beginners (like me) who are starting out calisthenics for the first time (like 6 months to 2 years). Take his advice seriously, I am new to his channel but I already understand he is quite an expert in his field of knowledge. Taking his advice, in my opinion, was the best thing I ever did to my calisthenics journey and I hope you take his advice too!

Bruh it’s called muscle memory lol same goes for weight lifting
@adewilson1323 жыл бұрын
@@demolitionist42 no it’s not the same for weight lifting, you’ll lose that progress a lot faster, if you reached a point where you could bench 315 as your max then you stop training for 6 months you’re not gonna be able to lift that 315 again.

I agree with point number 5, I'm looking at all these videos and try to figure out what's best for me but I get confused. Also the same thing happened with me but with the L-Sit, one day I was like "let me try and L-Sit (around 3 weeks ago) and I could do it for at least 10 seconds but I barely train it, I barely train abs and core as well and the fact that I was able to do it was cool. Before this I lifted, bench, squat, deadlift, cleans, and some snatches. I've stopped lifting and started to focus on Bodyweight movement is because I'm going into the Air National Guard and I'm training for boot camp. But I said 2 or 3 days ago that when I come back, I will focus mostly on calisthenics for upper and lower body and some weighted runs, sled push, and sled runs for the lower body so I can get it stronger. But good luck, thanks for the info, and congrats man, I've been watching this channel for about maybe 2 years now and nice work. I'm a fan of the Calisthenic vs power lifting vids
