Mate. Get O-Cam bash plates. They are cheap, thick, and heavy. Absolutely saved my ass on my last trip.

I hit my actuator too. The factory bash plate inverted and smashed the end of the actuator off which then lost vacuum to operate 4wd. Had that fixed (installed ARB UVP while I was at it) and still have no 4wd, Mitsi think the actuator impact damaged something inside the diff so now that's coming out and being split to check inside it. Well over 1k in already.

Custom off road bash plates, have them on my obese MR. I've had the entire weight of the car on them multiple times with no issue.

I’ve got arb bashplates they have started caving in a bit but they have taken some serious hits. I can comfortably say my car would weigh a bit more than yours similar setup but a fair bit more bar work and steel and I’ve had it smash onto the bash plates so far no real damage yet

Any plans on doing the exhaust? I did a Dpf back on my Mr triton. Didnt do turbo back as void’s warranty and insurance. But my dpf back was honestly worth it made a small power increase. Got a 3inch manta one with no muffler as doesn’t need one with dpf, still quiet.

I've dropped the whole weight of my car onto a large sharp rock. I have custom off-road bash plates, gained about an inch of clearance on one side 😂 but didn't damage a thing. They're not indestructible, but they're bloody good.

I have a 2020 triton and am wanting to find out if a tune is worth it for the car as a trust worthy and knowledgeable person on the car was wondering if u would get one for the car

Hey, the Triton is certainly no powerhouse so a professional tune would improve the driving experience if you're carrying extra weight. That said, a tune will likely impact your warranty so you've gotta weigh up the risks 👍

Did you manage to bend that vibration dampener on the rear diff yet? It stopped me completely against a rock while going down hill , i bent it back up with a jack but looks all bashed now

As soon as you beef up one bit you will likely just move the stresses somewhere else a lot of the time. They are essentially only medium duty vehicles that can go off road so it sounds like it actually did pretty well by keeping on going really. I spent quite a bit on a well known brand roof rack that soon after had a major blowup about their load ratings and a very nice 270 deg. awning that I never use and that I will flog off for when I can be bothered doing it. At least you spent your money whilst using it. 🤣

For 18 months I’ve been wondering why you’ve been doing the mods you have. You’ve done your mods in all the wrong order. Bull bar and snorkel before tyres and bash plates? The tyres and bash plates give you so much more capability and durability.

@@deanplays5691 In terms of suspension and lift kits you'll always have people who swear by one brand and hate another. Personally it depends how much you want to spend. I've seen heaps of people with Iron Man kits but again, heaps of people aren't keen on them. If you've got the money Old Man Emu Bilstien or Dobinson are all good options 👍
