My God, I thought I had a project ahead of me with a 72 Toranado. Miles of metal, and cloth for days.

So why not just CLIMB ACROSS THE SEAT & unlock the door?????
@scott63053 ай бұрын
I did, it still wouldn't open. I took the power lock switch off and flipped it around and unlocked the door. That worked. This car hasn't run since 1979, there's a lot of adjustment's that have to be made.

Take the backseat out, and see if you can crawl back in there

Vintage parts are expensive. That car will cost a fortune to restore.
@scott63053 ай бұрын
Yes, and it will cost way more to restore it than it will ever be worth. But some things you just can't put a price on. This is going to be a family project and I'll be teaching my wife and stepson how to work on stuff. They are both anxious to learn how to do this.

@@scott6305 sounds like a great family event. As long as you have the extra bucks have fun.

@scott6305 parts for these imperial aren't as rare as everyone believes. 1961-1963 are fits for many parts on these imperials

@@JanetWoolley-ze8qb Maybe a donar car is a consideration? I restored completeley a 1947 Chrsyler New Yorker in 1999. I spent a fortune over 2 years time but I had expendable monies. LOL

A long, long time ago, someone was too stupid to buy a '62 Lincoln.
@scott63053 ай бұрын
Well, they bought the Imperial because they didn't want to be stranded on the side of the road.
@AdamWaffen3 ай бұрын
@@scott6305 Of course. The Imperials broke down in public places.

@@AdamWaffen The Lincoln's were ugly, no style or class. They were a box that didn't stand out from anything else. They had no technology, no engineering. They were common. I guess that's why you like them so much, you're as common as they are.

Exner was fired over these gaudy and tacky sea monsters. They replaced him with the designer of the 61 Lincoln. So remember, educate yourself, read, think, then write. In that order.
