You need an electronic LSD that can give full lock-up at launch. The biggest killer on FWD is on launch when the weight shifts to the back and lifts the front wheels - again, someone needs to devise something that will lock the rear at launch and unlock once you're going (air shocks?). Alternatively convert to 4WD and you can then use it in the wet without fear of meeting your maker every time you floor it! I want to see it on the drag strip with some slicks on it!

Man, I love the in-depth build and total expertise going into creating a beast in fox clothing! But, what I want to see is you said, "A daily driver!" How dependable will this car really be? I had a 2005 Mitsubishi EVO8 built/methanoled/stroked and tuned 725 awhp daily driver that was fun, brutal and never comfortable and broke diff's & destroyed a stage 3 clutch and later blew the piston rings directly of turbo runner but lasted 3 years with great maintenance and not over abusing the boost. I'm driving a 2021 Sonata N - Line now and waiting for modifications to be created as their aren't any yet.

Hey Jamie, hope you are doing well. Love your vids. I am really watching for this build as I just got a brand new Cupra Ateca on a 4-year lease with the EA888 engine. I thought of going straight to 500hp and have a beast daily, but my mechanic turned me down straight away (He is a 20 years+ VAG specialist who owns a famous VAG garage in London) This is what he said to me, don't do it the safety power on this engine is 370HP, yes I could bump it to 800HP if you want, but everything over 400Hp is a ticking bomb, might last 60K miles might last 1 week. Not worth it as it is my only car and on lease. What are your thoughts on this, do you agree and what would the guys at Devel Development say on this matter. Thanks in advance! Be well!!

You can get to 500hp no problem with the EA888 engines. just stage 2 tune, decat down pipe, upgraded inter cooler, upgraded fuelling, possibly a custom exhaust as factory ones are shit and Obvs flashing the tcu. As always with tuning, you never know if the engine will blow up at 100k or 1k miles. Go to an actual reputable tuner who knows what he’s doing and you’ll have minimum problems.

Massive respect to building this, but kinda scratching my head over everyone chasing 6/7/8/900-1000bhp cars. Likely hood a 4/500bhp 4wd car will walk all over these fwd cars running that much power. I'm saying this as someone who's mini is in now for a GTX2860r plus other bits but I'm capping it off around 350 to try and retain some driveability. With that size turbo is it designed for QTR mile times?
