I've noticed a lot of us are in the IT field along with djing. I too am really only wanting one residency b/c I feel like I've worked too hard at these certifications to turn back now. I need to start reaching out.

My dude. Your channel has so many relatable things and so much I wish I knew when first getting started. I started DJing over a decade ago and went somewhat hard at it while at uni. It was a ton of fun and funded my love for parties and music. After graduating, I managed to land a dayjob I like pretty fast, so I never had the pressure to go for residencies, but I still play the occasional gig and love it every time.

I'm a 13 year old DJ, I was doing very well on Mixcloud, with my mixes getting a minimum of 20 plays per mix. But now it's been going a bit downhill, so I'm planning to do a massive dance hits mix to hopefully get my fanbase interested. Should I do this, or take a different approach? The reason I mentioned my age is so you know that I can't go out to clubs and try get gigs to boost my Mixcloud popularity (😂)

Love the content on your channel bro. Been watching for a while now and found each one really helpful, refreshing and inspirational. I used to watch a lot of US DJ content creators but being from London, UK myself, I can totally relate to each of your topics. I work more as a private event DJ in the corporate/ wedding space with my DJ company, but your videos are still relevant to me. The effort you put in your videos is first class and I always watch them as soon as they pop up. Keep up the good work bro! Hoping 2023 brings you more success. DJ Nibbler

Your “8” sources of income have nothing to do with DJing you’re just talking about other jobs… you should change the title of this. Thought this was gonna be all DJ related like types of venues you do etc… it was clickbait

I just started really posting videos in April of this year, my channel saw growth spurts in June and then the channel kinda died and then my channel had an even bigger growth spurt in December. It was really funny, I hit my 4000 watch hours in October and I only had like 600 Subscribers. I just hit 1000 Subscribers literally on New Year's Eve. As of right now, I have 1077 Subscribers and 6471 Watch hours. I had 0 watch hours and 19 Subs at this time last year. I must admit, all I have been posting are DJ Mixes and obviously those can not be monetized, but when I started posting them and saw the first few get a decent amount of watch time and subs, I decided I would continue to use Mixes as a strategy to grow my channel while I gain real world and online DJ experience and sort out what kind of monetizable content I will want to start including in my channel moving forward once I hit the 1000 subs 4000 hour marks... my goal was to hit those marks by the beginning of 2023 and I literally did it with 7 hours until my own deadline lol. yesterday was exciting for me in that regard because I didn't post a lot in October and November due to personal issues, then I post 4 videos in December and my channel dashed towards the goal line! Now my goal for this year is to hit 10k subs, monetize my channel, and of course find a dj related content niche. I'm thinking, Music/Entertainment Industry News, Product Reviews, New Music Reactions, and of course a weekly mix. Lastly, my biggest goal or wish for 2023 is to have a DJ like you, Nick Spinelli, or Cleveland Terry let me fly out and and assist you at gigs for free for a month in order to accelerate my knowledge and experience. I have a Friday night residency and I book about 20-30 gigs a year for the last 2 years and I did all of the 100% on my own. But overall I still feel like a fairly mediocre DJ when I play live and I've tried to check out other DJs in my area and they all seem pretty mediocre too lol. I need to learn from someone much better than me.
