My Academy Journey - Sara Champlin

Officer Champlin was on a path to becoming a doctor but decided instead to make the switch to join the San Diego Police Department this past year.
She successfully graduated from the 129th San Diego Regional Police Academy in May after being tested mentally and physically in the six-month academy, all while continuing to raise her 12-year-old son.
Officer Champlin recently completed the Field Training Program which consists of four evaluated phases of field training and has been assigned to a patrol division.
