I hate Sam so much. Ignores, abandons, and undervalues his daughter so much even into adulthood that she’s got a ridiculous level of insecurity. Speaking of that insecurity though, I love the scene with Lois and Cat. It reminds of the scene with Jimmy and Steve last season, where we get to see these goofy-ass side characters actually be human and reflect the leads’ emotional issues.

Can I just say how happy I am they didn't go the cliche "partner tells someone to act available to others and then gets mad for something they told them to do" route? Sure, Lois got jealous, but it's because of her own insecurities about being a worthy partner for Clark (which Cat unknowingly fed), and her reasons for actually getting upset at Clark (lack of communication, including using the beacon without her knowledge) are far more understandable. Also, I gotta ask- why is Hank Henshaw not only in the bachelor competition, but a FINALIST? His wife is a pretty important part of his transformation into Cyborg Superman and she was mentioned to exist in the premiere. Did he just go there to sass Superman or something?

Absolutely love the way this show handles character conflict. Like with Jimmy, it's not like Clark is refusing to talk to him over what happened at Star Labs, the focus is on Jimmy's own guilt and difficulty facing his friend. Or with Lois, she's not angry at Clark for doing what she told him to do, her outburst is a result of her insecurities plus all the pain and stress from the past couple days coming out at once. It's too bad some people are too stupid to understand it.

Jimmy & Kara were a thing in the comics. Especially in the old Golden Age comics. So its good to see how that plays out here. Jimmy in the comics is currently in a relationship with Silver Banshee. Kara dressing up as Android 18 literally makes Jimmy the Krillin of the show 6:55 - Chandi Gupta in the comics is an Indian superhero name Maya from Justice League Europe 7:03 - Byrna Brilyant in the comics is the Wonder Woman villain name Blue Snowman 7:10 - Silver St. Cloud in the comics is another Gotham character who once dated Bruce Wayne. Making her the 2nd Gotham character in the series Season 3 better have Batman appearing next, & perhaps if they greenlit Season 4 they would intro a proto version of the Justice League

Well, this episode was definitely intriguing. We have confirmation that the kryptonian Warrior is Kara, and there are hints that Brainiac is manipulating her, as Kara refers to him as her father. I'm not a fan of Kara being evil, but she may not actually be evil. We see signs of this from her interactions with Jimmy. She even came to Earth on her own without Brainiac and seems to find some things good about the planet. Jimmy and Kara do have chemistry together. It's such a shame that Jimmy was using his time with Kara partially to avoid Clark. Of course Jimmy felt guilty about what happened with Lex Luthor, but he at least realized what he needed to do to try to make things right with Clark, setting Kara and Clark to meet. The main plot of Superman dealing with a bachelor's contest and Lois dealing with her own insecurities after Sam left isn't as good as the Kara subplot, but it still had its moments. Cat Grant was entertaining in some parts, but I think that she unintentionally added to Lois' insecurities. Hank Henshaw has officially made himself an enemy of Superman, and to be honest, Superman should have really done more to stand up for himself. The lady Silver was a nice inclusion, as well as her defending Superman, but she only added to Lois' insecurities. At least Lois acknowledged that she and Clark don't talk anymore, which has been a huge problem for them this season. Clark even admitted to activating the beacon, while Lous finally brought up Vicki's job offer. Lois really does seem to have abandonment issues, and before Clark and Lois have to deal with their relationship issues, Superman has to fight his own cousin. They didn't have a good first meeting. Kara was happy to find her cousin at first, but Superman didn't even know it was Kara and was preoccupied with Lois. It also didn't help that Kara was disappointed that Superman didn't meet the standards of a kryptonian that Brainiac clearly indoctrinated on her. It's sad to see family reunited only to end up fighting. Superman clearly didn't want to fight his cousin, which only made it easier for Kara to have the advantage in battle. The kryptonian armor Kara wore seems to enhance and/or focus her powers, as her heat vision overpowered Superman's. However, Superman unlocked his freeze breath to counter it, which intrigued Brainiac enough to want Superman captured. This marks Superman's first battle with another kryptonian, and it's hard to see him lose, but acceptable. Superman still hasn't figured out what he's capable of, and Kara was trained to be Brainiac's soldier. It's not like this is the first time Superman and Kara have fought each other. Unfortunately, Superman gets kidnapped again, only this time he's taken into space, which is going to be harder for Lois and Jimmy to reach him.

I love what they have done with Brainiac so far. Although judging by the title sequence, Zod will appear at some point. We still have yet to see the Phantom Zone. Hopefully Non and Faora show up as well. It's ironic seeing Hank's prejudice against Superman knowing what he will become. It would be really cool to see Gotham itself. Maybe Nightwing or Batgirl could show up. A Batman spin off would be great if they do it right.

​If it was only in this episode... I wish I could love her and root for her and Clark. But I can't. It's the hypocrisy for me. She's well-written and the shows does a good job at showing why she has confidence and abandonment issues. So I understand where she's coming from. But she has too many issues that she needs to work on. And Clark enables her sometimes which doesn't help. She wasn't ready for a serious relationship. So I can't reproach her to thinking about breaking up. I still think Zod may be involved eventually. If you remember in Sam’s flashback there was a Kryptonian leading the attack, in a suit similar but different to the one Kara wears. I might just be missing something, and feel free to point it out to me, but there was no way Kara was old enough to be the invader that day. Also I don’t think she’s being “Mind-controlled” but the thing Brainiac has on her is more of an emotional repressor than anything.

The teasers for Season 2 showed Brainiac can control multiple android bodies at once. My guess is Kara refers to the main/original as Primus to make him stand apart. That, or it's a title for the leader of Krypton, since we know Brainiac leads the remnants of the empire. That actually might make more sense, but who knows? As for why Kara considers him her father, it seems Brainiac intercepted her at some point (probably shortly after she was jettisoned from Krypton) and raised her to serve as his enforcer. He would be the closest she ever had to a father-figure, which can NOT have been easy for her.

@@christiancrusader9374 I know but it just feels odd for her to say all those things she said about weak humans and dissolute planet, Clark being an embarrassment, disgrace and weakling I would've preferred it was zod in the Kryptonian armor rather than Kara because it makes so much sense that way

​@@theboyofsteel528we also know Kara's going to have a face turn soon. There's promotional material showing her as Supergirl. There's also speculation she's being controlled, or at least manipulated. Brainiac raised her, so she's going to have to unlearn everything he taught her.
