Honestly, I’m proud of Lois this episode. While understandably distrustful of Kara, she kept her promise to give her a chance instead of a hard time. Lois only called her out once for her actions and that was it. No mention of it the rest of the episode. And when she got called out by Kara for hurting Clark through the break up, she acknowledged it was wrong and wanted to fix it. That’s exactly is what makes this version of Lois Lane the best one in my opinion. When she screws up, she owns up to it and doesn’t stop until she make things right.

I have the strangest feeling that (given the promo for the next episode) even though Lois somehow has temporary amnesia and is interacting with a false mental projection of Jor-El, that somehow, a part of the original/real Jor-El's mind and memories still exist since Lois (before entering the ship that became the Fortress of Solitude) interacted with a piece of the ship with the palm of her hand made some kind of psychic 🔮 link between her and Jor-El, like some kind of strange alien (Kryptonian) backup hard drive 💾 for Jor-El's mind scan 🤔🤯! And if she physically (actually mentally but you get the idea 💡 I think 🤔🤷‍♂️?) interacts with the false Jor-El, the real Jor-El, while officially and truly dead physically (his original mind and body, with his soul having left the realm of the living) and mentally/technologically (the mind scan sacrificed the last of his existence to purify the Kryptonite from the ship, also teleporting away from Task Force X and creating the Fortress of Solitude) due to his mental link to Kal-El/Clark/Superman, when all these things interact with one another, the *_real_* Jor-El (even if only for the short amount of time that Brainiac still possesses Clark's body up until that ends, and it probably will too, it's likely a given 🤔🤷‍♂️) will help Lois free Clark from this false fantasy that Brainiac has imprisoned him in within his own mind, and maybe finally, with Jor-El's help, Lois will finally realize her terrible mistake (she already knows and admits that it was a mistake to prematurely assume he didn't love her the same way ( *(with huge amounts of sarcasm)* _thank you very much_ Sam (him repeatedly abandoning Lois and treating her like a soldier more than a daughter like he should have, placing unfair and unnecessary/impossible standards with that damaging her feelings of self-worth, giving her insecurities, not being there when she needed him the most, to be open with her about his feelings and what he did and not brushing her off repeatedly saying that *_"it's classified"_* excuse in favor of his work, unable make any lasting friendships due to constantly moving, hiding the fact that her mother was terminally ill, which hit harder when she died and she was the only other person in the world who she could talk to and be open with and damaged her ability to trust others, as well as her desperately trying to get him to stay even though he made valid points that he would only be endangering her just by being near her, not to mention all of that lead to her ignoring Clark's justified negative feelings towards Sam because of what he did to him and especially how he treats her 🤨🥺😔, and her distrust towards other aliens/Kryptonians making her not see how lonely he felt being the only one of his kind on Earth and upon learning that he still had at least _one living_ blood relative, while happy with his adoptive human family, still wanted to connect with the family that he had lost 🥺😣😔, and she, the woman who mattered the most in his life (aside from Martha his adoptive mother, and Lara Lor-Van the mother he never got to know), due to needless insecurities and distrust, said that they shouldn't find Kara without noticing that saying that absolutely hurt him 🙄😒🤨🤦‍♂️😔) and Cat Grant (not intentionally and trying to give her genuine advice (likely from her own harsh experience(s) 😰😥😓😔)), and combine all of that with her telling her father Sam that Clark *_"is strange"_* and taking too long for Clark stay to overhear the rest of her sentence that that was why she loves him 🤦‍♂️. Made him feel so alone 😔 (which in his message to Kara, he said that he was tired of it).

@@Demaad I honestly don't think that Lois was being mature, particularly in this scene. She still doesn't do a good job at keeping her promise with Jimmy. She still refers to Kara as evil, and ultimately threatened her, with Jimmy cutting her off. Lois' anger is understandable, but still resembles untrusting nature instilled on her by her father. Plus, if Kara hadn't called Lois out on her "break up" with Clark, it's quite possible that Lois would have been more hostile with Kara. Jimmy is still the one who has to be the voice of reason to Lois' prejudice. Also, I'm not talking about the whole episode. I'm referring to this scene.

But the main point is that after this brief moment of anger, Lois didn’t let her anger and distrust affect the mission of saving Clark. And she took responsibility when Kara called her out. Plus, regardless of how fair you think Lois' hostility towards Kara is, even Clark wasn't nearly this hostile towards Kara and Sam for kidnapping him. Superman clearly had some hostility towards Sam in particular, and it wasn't nearly as bad as Lois. Lois is still just projecting the distrust that her father taught her, while also lashing out at Kara to cover up how Lois herself messed things up with Clark the last time they talked. And If she didn’t keep that promise to Jimmy, Lois would’ve instantly attacked her on sight. Shoot first ask questions later, just like her father. But she didn’t. I will agree though that her aggressiveness to Kara could be a defense mechanism of projection for Lois to cope with how she screwed up with Clark last they talked. But it does make her more relatable as a character to connect. Plus she still took responsibility when called out for her mistake, so Lois isn’t so bad

Can we talk about Jimmy Olson not just here from the previous episode? I admit the race change did make me dubious, given previous attempts to do similar, but this might be my favorite version. He’s still Clark’s goofy little buddy, but he’s probably the most important person in his life next to Clark’s parents for one reason: compassion. Jimmy’s the nicest guy in the show that shows true human kindness in all its forms. He’s not greedy, or hateful, and he sees the good in others. It actually makes a good contrast for Lois. I’ve heard not many like her but for once I’ll submit that her background is to blame. We’ve seen her father for the stubborn, dismissive, and somewhat neglectful jerk he can be though his ultimate intentions are good. Whether Lois will admit it or not, she has inherited some of these negative traits through social osmosis l, and her own personal devotion to carving out her niche in life gives her tunnel vision. This is why Jimmy is so important to this trio and the core of this show. Humanity through compassion which makes Superman a hero and Lois lane an honest reporter.

I am loving these interactions between Jimmy and Kara. I really hope that she becomes apart of the main cast in the next season, and doesn’t just stay only for a couple episodes before leaving like Lois’s dad did and only returning for plot reasons.

unlikely due to the fact that that's 2 superman Like character and I'll be hard to build a story or you'd have to constantly bring heavy hitters. It's why super girl is mainly in movies. I mean, I can hope we get like a justice league type thing going, which would balance it out, but that's too early.

Personally, I’m a Gwiles/Ghostflower fan. I love complicated relationships. The kind where love is tested. But I do like the JimmyxKara ship, but I hope they don’t go too fast. Relationships in this show come and go a little too quick for my taste.
