Thanks so much Matt for the awesome content .. Pretty good to hear the advice on professional trials and I honestly feel it's very hard advice to hear because we like to believe that teams will take us because we worked hard to improve our game.. we like this to be the prime reason.. I think it's mostly me but I think it helps me stay open minded about the situation after knowing your take on it.. the advice of someone that's worked and archived what we're all working towards Thanks Matt also thanks to Mimi for helping with the vlogs :D

For a player who hasn't got a family or a partner, I felt like question number 1 is the one that we can actually control. The rest are up to the clubs, manager, coaches etc. especially if you want to play abroad, for a club to justify you're worthy for them to deal with your working permit/visa. As they might have local players who may be as good as you and would require less effort from behalf of the club.

This is a good question, I went through this for a little bit and it can be hard and its hard to keep motivation when its just you, but my best advice would be to maybe invest in a rebounder I have a couple videos on my channel showing you some drills you can do with them and I found they really helped me get better. If you have a place where you can pass off a wall then you dont need a rebounder and it can really help you get better. In my view its the best thing you can do when training solo because it's the closest to training with someone. As for drills matt has a lot of solo things you can watch. I hope this helps man and keep up the grind. Also let me know if you like my channel if you end up checking it out.

A lot of people don’t understand. Being good is the first step and that’s one thing. But there’s plenty of players that have star potential but really and truly luck does have to happen as well. Work as hard as you can so that if luck comes your way you can take it. Never stop working hard but just cause you work hard doesn’t always mean you’ll get what you were working for in this game. BUT! Work hard so that when the time comes and the stars align. You are more than ready for it.

Hello Matt, my son and me have been following your channel since your early days in Germany. On one of your videos, you mentioned that physically you were a late bloomer (high school). My son is having the opposite problem, he is 13 yrs old and almost 6" tall (he stretched out very fast this past year)! He is having some knee problems and some awkward unbalanced movements. Do you have any advice/recommendations or Is there a place where I can contact you directly? would love to get some advice and info on your zoom meetings, also I understand that you are a very busy person. best regards

Good answer from previous poster for trials. You should give 100% mentally. Stay completely focused and make sure that your movements are sharp and that you are in the locations and body position that you need to be in. Never let yourself get "lazy". In a regular team training, though, do not save your energy. You have more reserves than you think and you want to be ready to go 100% in the scrimmages, which often means that you have at least brief periods of 100% effort behind you. Most athletes performing individual sports, such as wrestling or track will be sweating when they start their event.

Yes, targeting exercise can help you become a better footballer focus on movements that you would do in a game for example bicep curls arent going to hurt your game but they are not really translated into a football match so instead maybe you spend more time on hamstring workouts to get fast. Just an example, i hope this helps you bro, let me know if you my channel too!
@shantiescovedo4361

Bicep curls are a waste of your time. Do pullups or another compound pull exercise instead. Only body builders do curls as a finisher because they are so inefficient in helping you build strength.

@@cjpearce1407 Do not even bother. And certainly not before a game. If you are running a lot, you will not want your biceps to be fatigued. If you are looking for an upper body warm-up, do pullups, pushups, and jump squats, but stop before failure.

So don't hardly focus on penalties improve (what you are good at) And try to make a x factor about you and be confident on the pitch and if you put 100% effort on your training you will become a better player
@CalvinFox31
@CalvinFox31 3 жыл бұрын
My best advice would to be watch some of the best midfielders in the world. See how they play when they have ball and when they dont and try to copy that in your games. As for other tips a midfielder is a big part of the games focus on the small things your touch passes understanding of the game. Penalties are such a small part of the game so I wouldn't focus to much time on them, a team is not going to pick you becuase you take amazing pk's they will take you because you are great at understanding the game or have really good long passes ect. I hope this helps bro, also if you have some time and want to check ou tmy channel let me know what you think!
