I felt kinda bad for Keenan he wasn't able to prevent it but that's what monitor lizards do they hunt. They're able to detect even the mildest changes in their immediate surroundings. So if they can sense vibrations of other species they can certainly track down a snake. You'd think they'd slip below the radar but not with them they can still smell um. And sure enough it did. it found it.
@PurpleDrac3 жыл бұрын
I thought it to be kinda foolish letting them run amok knowing there is snakes in there. And as you've all witnessed the snake barely did anything in fact. it did nothing! Slinky found it then slaughtered it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add more species of rift lake african cichlids. This pond is so amazing and that is one way to increase it's potential for beauty and education. Adding more species will show the huge diversity of shapes and behaviors that formed over millions of years in rift lake african cichlids. For example, adding a big cluster of shells somewhere in the pond and introducing a colony of shell dweller cichlids. Or having calvus species living in between the big rocks. Or having big Malawi trout as a big noticeable predator swimming in the mid water although with other large hap species.
@8301TheJMan3 жыл бұрын
Not to mention the fact that for the massive size of the pond, there's really not all that many fish in it. When it comes to African cichlids, you really got to overstock their tanks, because they can be very aggressive and overstocking tamps down on that, especially with those Haps and Mbunas, along with Peacocks to sometimes.

This is literally one of the coolest fuckin things i've ever seen. To keep a massive outdoor pond stocked with some gorgeous African Cichlids, wow - just wow! Normally ponds or super-sized aquariums, you usually see South and Central American cichlids, like Oscars, Jack Dempseys, Peacock Bass, Dovii Wolf-Cichlids, Crenicichla Pike-Cichlids, Red-Devils, Midas Cichlids, Texas Cichlids, Green Terrors, Managuense Jaguar-Cichlids, or man-made hybrids like Flowerhorns along with other large non-cichlids - like Pacus, Arowana, or Clown and Ghost Knife fish for example. It's so cool to see yours stocked with Africans, who all look like they're doing great, especially those Electric Blue Fryeris - who are absolutely stunning mate. Your set up is simply breath-taking, you should really be proud of this gorgeous set-up and how well it's doing. Bravo!
