On the Animal Crossing Pocket camp thing, they did have a notification in game about it, and it was also rumored that they were making a new pocket camp, yet you’d have to pay to pay for it instead of it being free. They also said that more information would come out later, around like October or something. (I could be wrong about the new game, I don’t remember if it was a announcement Nintendo made or…)

The mobile games Nintendo has are being ended en masse not because of a lack of interest but because of shifting EU laws pertaining to live service games. I doubt any of their titles would really violate any policies, but they very likely wanna make sure before they rack up any fines.

i got my first gaming console in 2021 which was the switch and my first game was acnh. I find it very fun to play but its very repetitive at times, last time i played was in 2023 and i took a break until yesterday because i got encouraged by one of your videos lol, so i started a new island called kitty land and ive unlocked the upgraded plaza and stuff, so im pretty happy but i feel like there isnt much to do anymore in the game, after the plaza you are just there, theres not really any tasks to keep you occupied which makes the game boring eventually.

i think the main reason nintendo is actually shutting down pocket camp is because it keeps getting banned in countries because of its loot box system, similar to those in csgo. a lot of countries ban games that have that feature bc you're basically encouraging kids to gamble with real money lol and at first nintendo just made pocket camp unavailable in those specific countries but since the UK was trying to ban it as well and its a larger player base, i think they finally just decided to cut the game off completely rather than deal with the lawsuits and banning. i honestly used to love pocket camp during quarantine (i wasnt able to get a switch until acnhs 2.0 update so that filled the void) and it was fun for me then but theres no way to play the game in a fun way without throwing an insane amount of money at it constantly. most of its features are cut off completely unless you throw some cash so tbh im not mad about it especially if they do get rid of the millions of in game purchases you have to make
