My brother has arthrogryposis. Growing up we never treated him any different. He scooted instead of crawling when he was a toddler and we use to have scoot races. He had to have a lot of surgeries to help straighten his legs so he has had to wear braces on his legs all his life. He has arms like yours, works, drives a car and is married. He is 56 years old now but when he was younger he played the drums in a band he was in with 3 other friends. Keep doing your thing and being yourself, don’t let anyone stop you!

This is the thing that makes me most grateful in life. I'm generally grateful to my parents for raising me and all but the fact i have 2 working arms ,legs brain and body is the single most motivating thing for me every day. I know i couldn't live if i was disabled in any major way and the fact that there are people who have to deal with challenges I can't even comprehend on daily basis makes me humble . Scoliosis can be serious, but that’s pretty rare for it to be. Mine was really bad, but I had a bunch of surgeries and now have a fully fused titanium spine. I got married, had kids, work, do all normal stuff. I wish I could go riding again, but it’s too dangerous. So my daughter rides now, and I get to have the fun of taking care of her horse. It’s only limiting if you let it be.

I have scoliosis too. Have never had any surgeries but I've had four children and a good life. Yes, I'm in pain sometimes and I can get bit out of breath due to one of my lungs being a bit squashed but I'm ok. But this guy is truly amazing!!!

I love it when people turn a disability/disadvantage into something truly inspiring. And also when you make light of it and put yourself out there on KZbin videos. I think it takes a very special person to acknowledge their own differences and be able to see it from other points of view, including humorous. There's no shame in being born different. No one is perfect, not even the most gorgeous Hollywood stars. Everyone has faults and imperfections, and everyone has some personal hang-ups about something. If it's not physical, it's psychological/emotional. So many people in the world are physically 'normal,' but psychologically unwell like with depression, bipolar, mental illness, drug addiction etc. You are far better off than 2+ Billion people on this planet. You have a positivity & zest for life that many don't and never have. You are an amazing guy. I'd love to call you my friend any day.

As someone who was born mentally different, I can vouch you're stronger than most because you have to find your own way of doing things and push through, no matter what people say. Things that are simple or come easy to most are a serious struggle.

@@Nikkimarie88neo Sorry I just HATE the word disability. Disability implies that whatever you has is stopping you from doing something. Ryan and I CAN do things, we just have to do them differently than the traditional way. Also implying anything is not what I meant. Yes we're all strong in our own ways. Yes we've all got things we struggle with. But when they're out there and the world can't visibly ignore them, it becomes a different story that takes a kind of strength that people who don't have differences can't relate to. But it isn't their fault because they don't have them. Things that come easily to most ex. Getting dressed, picking things up, are struggles for him. His entire life people have beaten him down BECAUSE they're visible. We don't even consider them struggles because there's nothing stopping us from doing it. It takes strength to not give into the fact that he could have someone help him and he didn't. THAT'S what I meant. Sorry if it came off differently.
