You have to pay out of pocket nowadays to find a good doctor because the ones that take insurance are part of the corrupt system. That or just don't have a doctor which is also a good strategy

It’s great to see people take personal responsibility for their personal life. It’s even better to watch people come to the realization that as far as the AMA, and their minions are concerned, “a patient cured is a customer lost”. You are what you eat, put the AMA out of business.

@@stephaniecrissup9112 lots of beef, the fatter the better! While I prefer ribeye, we also buy fatty cuts of sirloin and Chuck steak. Also bacon and eggs and lots of butter. I eat all the fat on my steak. But if you’re on a budget hamburger works. Like I said, the fatter the better. I also indulge in heavy whipping cream occasionally. You may want to ease into the fat consumption slowly until you can digest it. Also, try a ketogenic diet for a while first, which is what I did so I didn’t have flu symptoms. Also make sure you get lots of electrolytes and drink plenty of water. Hope this helps. ☺️

I have NEVER heard anyone say anything positive about a rheumatologist. It’s really sad… I’ve had lupus for 10 years (I’m 26) and I’ve never been to one. My lupus last year got to a point where I needed one, and luckily I found a Naturopath that specializes in Autoimmune and thyroid. But even then, diet still seems to be the largest factor.

You are looking amazing and are so inspiring. I have a rare illness called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. It affects people differently and I am one of the lucky ones that it has only caused bone loss, pituitary damage and skin lesions. On some it damages vital organs, the brain and can be fatal. There is recent research that says it could be an Autoimmune issue. Since starting carnivore about 10 months ago along with losing 70 pounds my skin has improved significantly and I think my bone loss has stabilized. I also don't wake up with horrible congestion like i use to and just feel so much better all around. Your story has been a big part of keeping me on this path. I won't go as far as saying you and Dr. Berry have saved my life but you have certainly help make it way better. Thank you for all you do and being so open about your own issues. I'm in Bremerton, Washington but have not made it to one of your get togethers. I hope to one of these times. It would be a pleasure to meet you and your husband and some of our fellow carnivores.

For anyone who is keto/ketovore that is still having autoimmune issues and flare ups and is still eating nuts you may be lectin sensitive. I was eating a lot more peanuts when eating out to replace the hot buttered bread. The peanuts and almonds are a problem for me with or without carbs.

Even following all of the guidelines I have read about, been given by my doctor, and have researched, nothing has really helped my flares. Hi Amanda! Thank you so much for sharing your update and sharing your story with us. It’s very inspiring to watch your journey. I was diagnosed with RA approximately a year and a half ago after having strange symptoms for about four years it was told four years ago that my high RA counts was a false positive and that the rheumatologist didn’t think that anything to worry about and four years later I end up back at the rheumatologist being told that my markers lit up like a Christmas tree. The doctor started me on Cortizone and then The Biologics Cymiza which I had a terrible reaction to. I told my doctor and he did not feel that it was due to the Biologics. So he is no longer my doctor. I also have been recently got six months ago diagnosed with CIRS and have been carnivore since February the same time that we suspected that I had chronic inflammation response syndrome. So doing carnivore has helped however I feel good for about a week and then I hit a wall and then I tend to have a flare up. I am doing supplements binders and prep to start the Shoemaker protocol finally this Wednesday I will be seeing The doctor to start the protocol! I know it’s a journey but I am so hopeful and thankful for what lies ahead. So glad to see you’re doing so well thank you for sharing!🙏😊

I got Ankylosing Spondylitis and Typ 1 Diabetes. The Diabetes is ok, since I got it over 30 years and know how to handle it. But my problem is the Bekhterev's disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis), pain 24/7 and all the other common symptoms. I'm considering a meat based diet, not a pure meat diet, cuz I won't let out certain vegetables that's for sure, due to vitamins and bitter compounds, which contain free radicals and which are essential to fight of cancer cells. The thing with Ankylosing Spondylitis is, that certain meat fat types cause inflammation a great deal, like lamb fat for example. Hence I have to do a process of elimination to see what suits me and what not. I got curious in your video because of Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is somewhat similar to Ankylosing Spondylitis in a way. I'm happy for you 😊👍 Greetings from Europe!

I have chronic pain too. I suspect what's happening is our body fat is made up of omega-6 inflammatory poly fats from decades of eating SAD diet. So when you lose that fat plus start replacing some of it with natural saturated animal fats, inflammation tanks.

My husband tried keto and then over the holidays he went off it. He ate gluten and dairy which he hadn't eaten in years. He had a horrible flare up of gout. He has taken steroids ×5 times since December. His uric acid is normal now but he is in severe pain again. I wanted him to go carnivore but he was afraid of high purines. So now he sweats and chills and the joint pain moves around. We ordered 38 lbs of grassfed ribeye. Hoping he will feel better on carnivore.

Female here. Did you have chronic fatigue syndrome? I’ve had it since I was a teen…. For about 20 years. I was not overweight when I was younger. I am now. Doctors never gave me an answer, they just gaslight me telling me different things. But now im in my journey to help myself, to heal. I’m looking for relief, to have more energy. I started carnivore recently, I think it’s too soon to have an opinion but I will continue. I want to have energy to go out, to go hiking.

Amanda, you had arthritis nodules on your fingers and with carnivore it just simply disappeared from not eating vegetables? Did you ever test to see what veg causes you to have flare ups? I have arthritis pretty bad in my hands now at 63 (my mother had it) and most days I wake up not being able to close my fist and my fingers are very weak and fragile because to use them hurts. I suspected it was from medication side effects making it worse from cholesterol meds (Avorstatin & Ezetimibe which I have stopped taking this past week since my numbers are in a great place with diet and the pain I'm experiencing is worth getting off them for). I am recovered 2+yrs from a heart attack/lung collapse/diabetes and I have reversed my diabetes with Keto & weight loss; but my arthritis is seriously flaring almost all the time with gardening. I also experience strange lack of flexibility with my fingers in a "snap back in place" movement. My cardiologist wants me to continue 8 different meds for life for my heart....I want off them and wonder how much of this arthritis pain is from medication side effects. I believe I've lost muscle due to Avorstatin and still have difficulty walking and endurance. I've eaten moderate veg all my life so I'd be surprised if they are the cause of this pain. On Keto, I'm more protein than veg but I try to keep my carbs at below 20g. I might start pushing towards total Carnivore for 30 days and see if it helps me. Congratulations on bringing your body back to good health & your weight goals! Thank you for sharing your story.

I really didn't find which vegetables affected me the most. I reduced down my veggies to garlic and onion powder on meat. I loved grilled asparagus and had a fantastic recipe for broccoli cheese soup but I just don't eat them anymore. I found my limit is really 10 or so carbs a day. I eat a pint of raspberries and my feet start to hurt on walks. Veggies take a bit more than a meal but same thing really. A 30-day BBBE (beef, butter, bacon, eggs) challenge is what a lot of people do to find out if elimination is going to really work for them.

I wonder if Dr.s, who don't really want to have another patient, look for an excuse? I have similar symptoms, but was told that my toddlers (at the time) and lack of sleep were causing my issues. Several years later, Dr.s blamed all the stress in my life and big moves, jumping on anything "obvious." Hoping this way of eating will help whatever, so far, it has helped a few things lots more than the Dr.s!

Also treating my RA with mostly meat keto diet. My rheumatologist says he has multiple patients who have done so. He doesn't oppose it but, oddly, doesn't seem interested either! I wonder what the mechanism for this is? Is it the lack if inflammatory carbs or the presence of ketones? Already did the AIP to figure out sensitivities; I am currently experimenting with carb levels within ketosis to figure out my ideal diet. Right now I'm doing high fat, moderate protein. I wonder if neoglucogenesis is inflammatory.

That is what I recommend, high fat moderate protein. Some people eat too much and excess protein just adds as stored energy like eating to much carbs.

I’ve been considering carnivore. I also have Limited Scleroderma. My fingers are horribly painful. Calcium deposits in my fingertips feel like hot nails are being hammered into my fingers. I also get abscesses on them that have to be opened up. I can’t do a lot of things anymore. My house looks so bad most days because I can barely clean up. On good days I can clean. That may be three days a month. I can straighten the house most days but not do necessary cleaning. I cry when I’m alone. My family are great but assume I can just suck it up and do more things they think I can. I can’t write with a pen. It goes on……. Is carnivore an expensive diet? I’m on a limited income. I don’t buy a lot of meat because of the cost. I am still paying on hospital and doctor bills from breast cancer surgery. It makes me happy to see you’re feeling so much better. Maybe it can help me. There is a topic re the "inflammatory" conditions that I'm very curious about - that being bladder control. I'm curious as to how many, especially women, have experienced a reduction or elimination of their bladder control issues while either being on carno-keto and or carno? I'm on a carno-keto (for want of better words) for about 3 months and I'm going to say that mine is at least 60+% better. If I end up in a flair up for RA or a few others because of my exposure to my intolerance/allergy foods or environmental triggers, my bladder issue comes back with a vengeance along with all the other negatives.
