When the older hands came in to help with the chopping of the apples 😭 I don't know why, but that got me.

My birthday is 9/24 so this is my favorate season 🙂. Our Autum Equinox tradition is going to the apple orchard and then i make a cast iron apple pie. This year my husband has added the process of smoking the pie and we eat it around the fire pit 💚🍂🍁

I absolutely love this season! The vibes! The food!! My small tip for people who want to eat more seasonally: make seasonal jams/spreads. They're easy to make and use. They last for a good while. They're also great gifts if you end up with too much. Spring for me is all things maple, then rhubarb (last year's was a mix of rhubarb, grapefruit and cardamom that I HIGHLY recommend). Summer is all the fruits and sometimes flowers or herbs: berries, peaches, cherries, rose... Then comes autumn with apples, spices and pumpkin and chestnut spreads. Around Yule, I do cranberry and spices and marmalades for the rest of winter

I also use apples in my autumn equinox and like to make an apple candle every year. I actually made a video about that for next week. ☺️ I also like to cook stews again because it’s finally colder weather here. I’m not really a summer person, more spring and autumn. I have a special card spread for Mabon which I like to use. All the beautiful colors and the abundance of nature - awwww I love it. 🍁🍎🖤🍂 Have a wonderful autumn equinox! 🍁

I choose my cards for my readings the same way you do. They really do jump out when it’s their turn!

Oooh equinox time!! I normally reorganize my deity altar and I bake something with apples. I do have a candle with apple cinnamon scent to have around as well, and since I'm moving my office to the other side of the house ther's a lot of cleaning I'll be doing to get ready for the equinox!! Gonna be a fun time!

I must be unusual because I LOVE autumnal rainy weather... Fortunately, I live in Sweden so the weather is similar to England. Rainy, cool winds, and cozy! I will focus on spirit work, shadow work and cozy reading this Mabon.

Thank you for taking us along for your walk in the rain, Hearth. The landscape is beautiful! It doesn't feel like autumn in Southern Arizona 🌵 as the temperatures are still over 100° Fahrenheit/38° Celsius. It is too hot for kitchen witchery. I've already set up my altar. What I'll do to observe the autumn equinox depends on how hot it is. Probably just an early morning walk in the desert, and in the evening a quick scan of the night sky to see Scorpio before it disappears. Love the new hair color (very autumnal)! A blessed Mabon/autumn equinox 🍂

Blessed Mabon! It's my first year celebrating without my grandma. I carried on our tradition of making potato soup and bread pudding. It didn't quite turn out like hers, but it was pretty close. I'm also deep cleaning the house and revamping my home harmony and protection workings.

This felt like such a nourishing seasonal video. Thank you for sharing so many practice ideas with us. It’s always a lovely time having a peek into yours. Any baked goods that disappear within 24 hours (or less) of being taken out of the oven should definitely be considered a success. :-) It was wonderful to see two generations of hands working on creating the crumbles. Also, I'm no more a fan of umbrellas than you are, Hearth -- but a good waterproof rain jacket offers a lot of comfortable dry(ish) freedom in all but the most ridiculous weather.

I like that table of yours. It makes for a great altar. Crumble is easy. I was thinking of adding blackberries to my crumble this year. The lighter flesh of the apple and the blackness of the berries can symbolise the balance between light and dark. For me, I this time of year is like a mythical animal that looks fearsome, but is much more comforting and cuddly than we think. Yes, this time of year must be resected or it might injure us or even claim our lives, but on the whole, it's a fun time of year.
