When you have no energy and no money for the goodies Cass offers but keep watching the videos coz they're soothing (yes, even when she gets wild, as you do) and informative. Cass, if you're reading this I just want to let you know that at the beginning of this year I was diagnosed with Cervical disc degenerative disorder (aside from the Lumbar one) and carpal tunnel syndrome. I was in pain for days, was on medical rest from work and the only thing that kept my mind calm was watching your videos, even fell asleep on my desk chair. Then the depression, anxiety and panicc attacks came back, and still, I could watch your videos and be calm. Thank you so much for all the effort you do, even if make up wipes and micellar water was the only thing you could do. I relate. Still, thank you so much. 💖💖

I fear the pain of a peel. It scares the crap out of me. I have used home products, glycolic acid, and have felt a lot of pain. Where I couldn't wash my face for a day or two. I'm just aging, I do not have acne. Never have. Very blessed and I know it!!!!

As another Aesthetician, I've loved and appreciated Cassandra's videos and honest knowledge and information. I can relate to SO many of the things we had been Told or taught in Aestgetics school over a decade ago. Especially about the "natural" skincare. OMG Origins was SO big back then. 🤣 Thank you so much for calling out "natural not necessarily being better" You are such a necessity in this industry and on YT! Love ya girl!💛💛💛

I struggled with acne for 2 years. I went to an esthetician last year and it has completely helped me. I still break out but it heals so much faster! Even cystic acne. I was using too many products and it completely wrecked my skin! Better to leave it to the pros if you struggle with any skin problem

Estheticians r the BEST! Huh? That's who changed my whole life as I have researched skincare but not on myself! And I give a disclaimer to see a professional first! I merely share credibly sourced research bc it's something I do 24/7! Switched 2 skincare after acne of 4+ yrs in mid 20's! Only could see eyes 👀 literally! I'm downplaying it! Sometimes it takes someone who knows the right info!! Also, remember good info can come from anywhere and anyone but trust your gut! Don't judge them on their appearance Please 🙏 We r not all going to get Estheticians who look like Cassandra Bankson but I wish! Now if u have solid advice from someone who doesn't look like a model... that's OK. If u attribute skin knowledge to people who happen to have perfect skin, b happy for them... but THAT doesn't mean they're going 2 know about skincare. When someone explains the why and how and doesn't waste years or $$... Advocate 4 Ur health!

This was an uplifting talk I SO needed. Several months ago I was maimed and disfigured by my orthodontist who didn't review my medical history....I have Ehlers-Danlos so my skin is fragile. If stretched too aggressively it will tear and scar. I was left with speech and functional deficits, and scarring around my lips and nose; essentially stretch marks in the middle of my face. While this is traumatizing and devastating this experience taught me what other people think about my appearance is none of my business. What matters is how I feel in my skin. ❤

Michelle, I apologize u had 2 endure such painful jaw orthodontic surgery from being maimed omg 😢. I do so appreciate and admire U for saying such a positive message of strength though (not diminishing ur pain)! You are so 💯 correct and what a profoundly inspiring message 4 ALL that U said: "The ONLY opinion that should matter is Yours! Not anyone else's" or comparing oneself to influencers that r fake and don't tell you how it is either! Even still, what u said is so profound! Thank U! (Also, THAT shows how U turned an abysmal situation and made it into something that made U stronger 💪💯 learning from it when it should not have happened but it did and rather than allowing someone or something 2 have power over U... U took a terrible trauma and learned from it WOWEE 💪) I admire U and appreciate U, Michelle!

@@DOLLCRAZES Your kind, thoughtful and uplifting reply made my heart smile, thank you! I had braces (not jaw surgery) and while it's traumatizing to know my ex-orthodontist's negligence left me with the inability to close my mouth, kiss, eat from a spoon, articulate and smile the only thing I can control is the way I think. And, I'm not going to allow him or anyone to take that from me. :) ❤️

I want to add one more tip about the pillowcase vs. acne thing from my personal experience. I normally wash my hair 2 times a week and use dry shampoo between washes because i have oily scalp. And i've noticed that the days when i use the dry shampoo i wake up the next morning with little pimples on my face, and i feel like my skin is dirty or textured, so i would have to cleanse my face and redo my scincare routine, even though i usually depend on my nighttime routine and only apply sunscreen in the morning. To prevent this, i bought a satin hair bonnet and started to wear it on the nights where i use the dry shampoo. It worked, and it also prevented my hair from becoming frizzy. I have one more tip that is also from my personal experience. Sometimes, when i cry and sleep without redoing my skincare routine, i wake up with many little pimples all over my face, especially on my cheeks and the sides of my nose (obviously in places where my tears go). And when i am mentally breaking down, i wouldn't have the energy to redo my skincare, but at least i sometimes try to wash my face with water only, and it helps better than nothing.

Im so so thankful for finding your channel. I really needed to hear your advice and I'm so glad that you are empowering yourself and many other people. As a teen I use to suffer from severe hormonal face and body acne especially when I first hit puberty, and I realized that it wasn't the outside that was causing my acne, but the neglect I had towards taking care of my mental health. I suffered from many panic attacks and really bad anxiety, but through a lot of help I was able to see many improvements and the see the positivity around me. I learnt so much from your videos, and my skincare has begun with over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide wash to a salicylic acid wash and really nice moisturizers thanks to your help. Over time I've seen so many improvements, and my hormonal acne has definitely decreased over time compared to 1-2 years ago. You inspire me so much Cassandra. I've found your videos to be very helpful, not just by the recommendations of products but understanding the chemistry and science behind all of them (it's even helped me in my high school biology classes). Could you please make a video on facial hair or body hair removal, as well as 'strawberry skin'? I've never shaved or sugared or waxed my hair before and I want to understand the effects it has on skin, and how to treat my skin after.

Thank you for making this educational channel, Cassandra. This year I started using the inkey list salicylic acid cleanser and it was a game changer. Then I got the succinic acid treatment cream and I was amazed on how gentle yet effective it was. A month ago my go to moisturizer emptied and I couldn't afford a new one but I had the niacinamide bottle that I got in a bundle of the inkey list. I am amazed, amazed!!! by the change in my skin. I've been more stressed than ever yet my skin has had minor extremely small pimples that cleared in one or two days. However, I've gotten some big and painful ones around my neck where I seldom wash with salicylic acid and never used the niacinamide on. Soooo, now I will use the cleanser and niacinamide on my neck too. Thank you big cyster because if I hadn't learned through you about ingredients, I would be expending money that I don't have in products that in the best case escenario would never do anything for my skin. Of course, I use spf everyday.

She had every fantastic skincare product to get rid of acne. She was seeing a dermatologist frequently. She stopped being a vegetarian and her acne cleared up significantly. It's quite possible that age was the real reason or hormones rather, but it did happen when she went back to meat eating. So strange right

Any suggestions what might be causing it?
@cheekyb71 Жыл бұрын
First up, see a doctor or dermatologist if you can, get an expert to look at the problem. However, I know where I live (New Zealand) seeing a derm is almost impossible... I'd suggest changing up your exfoliation routine, try something higher strength less often, OR lower strength every day. Sunscreen everyday no matter what. Then retinol. The granactive retinol from the ordinary is cheap and perfect for everyday use. And, remember it won't last forever - "this too shall pass" - so be kind to yourself and reduce that stress 😊

How to do acids when your acne is active? I don’t think acids should be used when you have an active breakout. They can cause more irritation and make breakouts worse.
@morgianasartre6709 Жыл бұрын
Depends on the acid, salicylic acid for example is supposed to be used on active acne as it both exfoliates inside the pore and is anti-inflammatory. I have had no problems using any type of acid over active breakouts, but my skin is also resilient and not very prone to irritation.
@SaucyGalMakeup Жыл бұрын
