Great video. I never thought to use painters tape as a way of outlining. I tried eyeballing it and I did not get far.

I've been building and flying fpv multi rotors for a few years now. I'm very interested in building a fixed wing rig with head tracking. I'll take all the tips I can get right now. Nice vid. Thanks!

Thank you! I'm planning to build a couple balsa warbirds and put FPV gear in the cockpits. But I was struggling to figure what do do with the canopy. You just gave me a few ideas. I have 2 question: First, would heating the PETG sheets (and maybe your 3d printed frame) with a heatgun make them form to your cockpit a little easier and potentially let them last longer before showing stress cracks? Or would that just be more trouble than its worth (and possibly even cause problem with uneven warping/bending)? Second, it looks like you have a fan on your O3 air unit... but do you have any holes to allow air to enter or exit the canopy ? Or are you just recirculating the air trapped in the canopy? Has the O3 ever overheated with your current setup?
