Actually, it was Russia that purposed selling Alaska to America. They knew that they could easily lose it to Britan so they thought that by selling it to America, they could get some income while keeping it out of the hands of Britan. It was the same reasoning Napoleon used when he sold Louisiana to America. That is why America could get these lands at such a low price.

Wait, wait, you mean to tell me Russia and US were cool??? They sure didn't tell me in my school. wtf

Deep down, Russia never forgot this friendship, but the US ended up stopping talking to Russia and began to find comfort in the search for influence and obtaining power and global influence, leaving itself limp.

Is this what Russians tell themselves to justify all the crazy videos we’ve seen come out of Ukraine?

You forgot the Civil War period in which the Russian Empire aided Lincoln and the Union in their war against the Confederacy which was supported by France and Great Britain. But overall a good video. Although Russia was also a good ally of Great Britain until the reign of Emperor Paul I, when they became rivals due to their interests in Asia. Communism and the Soviet Union seem to have turned Russia into the main adversary of the US, just as the military industrial complex has turned the US into the main adversary against Russia.

Great video, one thing i would have also liked to see was Russia supporting the Union during the American civil war.
