I really enjoy your work! I’ve only recently discovered your channel, but it’s already a highlight of my day seeing what you post! Thank you for all the time and effort you’ve dedicated to this! The detail is incredible, I never knew fungi this small existed. Looking forward to all your future work!

Thank you! Hopefully there will be many more interesting finds to come, still plenty of strange and colourful species I haven't found so plenty to look for :)

Wow what an amazing trip out. That log that just kept giving and giving. I've now purchased a used EM-1 Mark ii and 60mm macro. I already owned the Raynox 250 so just looking for a flash and diffuser now. Also trying to get my head round the different camera system but I think I'm slowly getting there 😊 Stunning images once again Ryan

Thanks mate! Always a pain learning a new system but you'll be glad you did when it comes to macro ;)

wow, the upload that just kept giving and giving. What an amazing time you had on this trip to the woodland. I was very excited to see the notification when I got home and literally every image has me spellbound, they are truly beautiful. It was also great to see you searching for the tiny structures, something my eyesight finds so very difficult. I did manage to find some dewdrop bonnets, almost got a photo but obviously still need to practice. Those eyelash cups had me just stopping the video to get a closer, better view......I so would love to see those one day. Then all the slime molds, just a brilliant video!!!!!!! Thank you

More please fantastic images 👌😎☕️ ps advice please if ok I do have a canon dslr but I love using my old Fuji X20 which has a really great super macro capability. Obviously it doesn’t stack should I use the canon also I only use an iPad Pro and have no post processing software?
@RobertSE626 күн бұрын
Wonderful images! How did you achieve the black background on the dewdrop shots please?
@redal-uk25 күн бұрын
Thank you! It's a mix of already having a dark background (due to the forest being dark and the mushrooms being bright white), and then some post processing to darken the background more using masking in Lightroom

Stunning images! Especially those slime molds with such a contrasty color. I see, in your videos, you tap the screen at a random spot to start and stop the stack. I see you have your screen on ‘tap to place the spot of focus’, but after that the process starts immediately. In stead of only place the spot. How do you do that? Is that a setting?
@redal-uk5 күн бұрын
I'm tapping the screen to start the focus bracketing, the focus itself is just manually set to ensure I can set it a few points ahead of where it needs to be

Thank you! Honestly I'm the same as you I can never find them, I've spent so many days trying to find them and never find anything I just got very lucky this day 😅

Hi.Can I ask what camera and lens you are using to capture these magnificent photos. Thanks 😊
@19Photographer7616 күн бұрын
Nice video ~ I have to ask as you keep saying 'teleconverter' or is it 'extension tubes'? I'm watching on a small screen right now, great work!
@redal-uk14 күн бұрын
I'm using the Olympus MC-20 2x teleconverter, as the OM 90mm f3.5 macro lens is designed to be compatible with it to effectively double the magnification of the lens
